While this hotel is about 5 minutes from the city center, it turned out to be a great respite. The pool and bar was lovely. The trail system was a little confusing but I didnât have a tonic time to figure it out.
We took advantage of the beautiful outdoor lounge space after dinner and the room was very well appointed, even a hole to turn on the shower without getting wet.
Finally the staff were very friendly and helpful.
By far the most relaxing trip Ive taken. The calming atmosphere, the fast check-in, friendly staff. All was on point. Not to mention the aesthetics were breathtaking. I was amazed at the friendly environment. Dont get that everywhere. Cozy rooms, comfortable beds, robes. It was definitely a 10/10
Love this Gem! The restaurant and spa are just lovely! Hopefully the development around it will not impede on the beautiful nature that surrounds this place itâs truly a big part of what makes it magical.
We highly recommend Hotel Hartness. The setting is beautiful- miles of trails around the gorgeous wooded acres. Hotel is modern and beautifully appointed. The rooms are clean and nicely sized.
Food at the Patterson restaurant and the Captain bar is delicious, with great service. The bartender makes great drinks!
Hotel Hartness is amazing! Spent the night as a little staycation; the environment/grounds and trails are rejuvenating and the staff are incredibly friendly, professional, helpful, lovely- I could go on! Also the included breakfast is delicious :)
We had a wonderful time at Hotel Hartness! The room was clean and well-appointed, and the staff was helpful and very pleasant. We especially enjoyed the interaction with the bartender who made a great Hemingway dacquiri.
The Patterson dining room was stylish yet casual, with delicious offerings. Our server was delightful! Breakfast is relatively simple but just right (in our opinion).
The grounds on this property are beautiful, inviting wandering and relaxation. Our time there was a welcome respite, and we'll definitely return.
We will be going again! The only downsides were the pool was FRIGID, the breakfast options were good, but not great, and the shower soaps had a bizarre scent. It wouldâve been nice to have a waffle maker or some muffins at breakfast; it felt very limited to scrambled eggs, bagel or oatmeal. OTHER THAN THAT, amazing experience. I went with my sister and our mother for a girls weekend, and we already canât wait to go back. Marcus and Michael at the front desk were so kind and welcoming. We took the bikes out and really explored the surrounding areas. We were lucky enough to run into someone who lived in the neighborhood nearby and she really took us on the tour of the grounds. Without her, we wouldnât have understood where we could bike to get the full benefits- so maybe study the map. The hotel and rooms were beyond stunning, LOVED IT!!
We stayed over Memorial Day weekend for a night on the drive from the mountains back to Charleston. Comfort was 100. The hotel is upscale-ish - oddly located in a master-planned neighborhood with views from the pool overlooking future luxury homesites (odd). Itâs about 15 minutes to downtown which was fine. The two restaurants were closed during a holiday weekend - also odd. We enjoyed the pool briefly until another group of guests (w/children in tow) started a photo shoot in the pool, featuring her thong and buns floating slightly above the water. Classy.
The only real disappointment was that breakfast ran out before 9:30 am and they had only bagels left on offer. For a place this âniceâ it was a shame they couldnât accommodate guests within their stated hours of operation.
