DESCRIPTION: This Moosehead Lake log home is a year round direct waterfront home with easy lake access. There are western panoramic views of the lake and mountains from inside, outside and lakeside plus a dock area for canoes, kayaks or swimming. This home features three comfortable bedrooms, i.e., one king size bed, one queen size bed, one full size bed, a full size futon sleeping loft, two full baths, living room, sunroom, a fully equipped kitchen and large garage. Linens and towels are provided. It is a secluded, quiet getaway vacation home that will exceed your expectations yet is still within walking distance of all of the amenities the quaint destination Town of Greenville has to offer.

Upon your determination that our property fits your vacation needs, we will send you a copy of the rental agreement. Once the paperwork is completed, signed and the appropriate deposit is received, we will confirm your reservation on our calendar. You can then look forward to enjoying all the Moosehead Lake Region has to offer. We look forward to booking your exciting vacation experience!

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE ARE DIFFERENT NIGHTLY RATES FOR THE SUMMER AND WINTER. Travelers’ insurance is required. Please contact the owner for these rates and fees.

Perfect Vacation!

This home, these hosts, that lake, all exceeded our vacation expectations! The home was clean, well stocked, very comfortable, and accessible to all area attractions. The host was very kind and helpful, and responded very quickly to any questions we had. There were no problems with this booking at all and we hope to have another opportunity to stay at Sundown in the future!

Fantastic!

The home is both beautiful and comfortable. The location is awesome; close to town, restaurants, boating, seaplanes, hiking. The view is spectacular. The host was very helpful with resolving some VRBO glitches during the booking process, and checked with us on arrival as well as departure. If we return to Moosehead Lake we will definitely book this home again!

This is our third year staying at Sundown and can’t say enough how much we love it here! The love poured into this place is evident from the moment you step on the property. The garden down to the dock is one of my most favorite moments and you can tell how the grounds are tenderly cared for. From swimming to watching the ducks and loons every morning, this place is nothing short of tranquil. The house has everything you need and more when coming for a weekend retreat. We cannot thank Kim and Jim enough for opening their home to us to retreat year after year! We look forward to staying with them again!

Family trip

Sundown was the perfect spot for our family to get away before school starts up again. They house was perfect for our family of 5. We loved the sunroom and the view from the dock. It was close enough to town, but also private and peaceful. Kim was great about communicating. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a great stay!

Memories on Moosehead Lake!

This was our second year staying at Sundown and we had such an incredible time. Kim & Jim are truly the kindest hosts I've ever had the pleasure of renting from and I cannot thank them enough for their generous hospitality. The house is extremely clean, well taken care of and has all the things you could possibly need for a nice retreat on the lake! You can definitely feel the love and care that is poured into the home and the landscape. I absolutely love looking at all the flowers and taking in all the garden has to offer. Puzzles in the sunroom, playing corn hole and grilling, and sitting at the dock while listening to the loons are just a few things that make the time here so special. You truly do not need much as the location, stunning views and all that Sundown offers is nothing short of thoughtful. It truly has become such a special place to us and I can only imagine how serene it would be in the winter. We cannot wait to return and to continue to make so many more memories at Moosehead Lake.

Beautiful Moosehead Lake property

Sundown on Moosehead was very comfortable and had a beautiful view of Moosehead Lake. The sunroom was a favorite spot, with windows all around and a great place to watch the lake and listen to the loons.The landscaping of the property was amazing, and it was a lovely walk from the house down to the dock. The owner was very responsive and helpful. The location was excellent, very close to the town of Greenville and to a state park, hikes, waterfalls, and kayaking.

Ice fishing getaway

My family and I spent our February vacation at Sundown ice fishing. The cabin/property was excellent! There was plenty of room to maneuver and park two trailers, which is always a relief. The cabin was very clean and comfortable, and the lake is easy to access. It was only a five minute drive into town to grab supplies or grab a bite to eat. The host was very kind and accommodating. I would highly recommend it!

Graduation celebration at Moosehead Lake

Kim’s home on Moosehead Lake was everything we could have wanted to celebrate our sons Graduation from college. The location gave us easy access to the lake, Greenville and all the local hiking, biking and exploring we could want. The home is clean, well appointed, very comfortable and has a great layout. Beautiful & Peaceful home and location on Moosehead Lake

We wish we could have stayed a couple more nights; the 2 small docks are really nice to relax at. We rented a pontoon boat at Captain Rogers one day to go tubing & explore the north lake and Kineo area. The loop hike at little moose & big moose ponds is excellent—took about 2 hours. We also went canoeing at Hinkley Cove/2nd roach pond. Great takeout from Jamos store back at the house was nice and enjoining the sunsets. Thank you for making your property available!!

Beautiful View

What a view! From the deck on the water to the sun room above, we enjoyed a magnificent water view. We watched sea planes and boats come and go. We enjoyed swimming right off the deck, boating and fishing at the state park. We found great souvenirs at the shops nearby and enjoyed evening meals at the cabin and local restaurants. Kim and Jim were wonderful hosts.

Lovely Setting On the Lake

Wonderful home on Moosehead Lake. Property perched with a backdrop of the lake and mountains. Lots of windows to take in the views. House well designed for comfort and relaxation. Magical Place

From the minute we stepped on to this property, we were impressed. It is impeccably clean and was a great layout for our family of five. You could have easily slept a few more people. The beds and furniture were extremely comfortable. We spent most of our time outside and in the fantastic sunroom, which has large slider doors turning it into a fancy screen room when they are open. The views of the lake and mountains from this room are incredible. The yard down to the lake is beautifully landscaped, and my favorite part was the dock area, where we spent afternoons having happy hour with the loons. The dock area has two parts. One part is great for storing and getting into boats. We rented two paddleboards from Northwoods outfitters and brought our kayaks. The other part of the dock has a bench swing and a sitting area with stairs that lead into the water, making the lake very accessible for swimming. Kim, the owner, did recommend that we bring water shoes for swimming and I do think that was helpful. We absolutely loved this place so much that we had a hard time leaving it to explore other parts of Moosehead. I definitely will rent here again. Next time for much longer! Kim and Jim are so warm and welcoming and very easy to communicate with. They truly want you to have a wonderful time. I can’t say enough good things about this place!

Sundown on Moosehead Lake was truly an Oasis - Home Away from Home

This stay was truly something special and I cannot mention enough how wonderful Kim and Jim are! I booked Sundown for a girls weekend and it was a trip we will all remember. Despite the last month of rain we've endured, we had such a beautiful time on lake. We were able to swim and cherish all the joys of being in the water and equally enjoyed looking out on the lake during the scattered rain showers. The house is very clean and well taken care of, you can truly feel the love put inside taking care of the home. They had everything you needed inside the home as well as some exciting perks - cornhole & a grill! The enclosed patio with a large dining table was perfect for puzzles and enjoying meals together. The only complaint I have is not having more time here!! The location is perfect as you are very close to town as well as all the scenic attractions. Kim was an absolute delight and only showed kindness and compassion through our entire interaction. The hospitality and all that came with this stay made to be an oasis and home away from home! Out of the 5 years I've spent on a weekend trip to Moosehead, this was truly the best and we can't wait to return!

Sundown felt like home❀

What a beautiful, comfy, cozy log cabin with an amazing view right on Moosehead Lake ! The cabin was VERY clean and well taken care of 
 the beds were amazingly comfortable 😮, the kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked including firewood for the wood stove ! Everything about this beautiful cabin felt like home ! The owner Kim was so helpful and CARING ❀ she genuinely cared and wanted us to have a wonderful vacation .making sure we had everything we needed and offered many extras on the property . We were there to snowmobile and the access to the lake right from the property was great ! It was so nice coming back to the cozy cabin after riding all day ! Town was just minutes away to drive to restaurants for dinner . Thank you Kim and Jim for opening up your incredibly beautiful piece of Heaven on the lake to share with us !! I feel like we made a friend in you ❀and hope to come back and stay again at Sundown !

A Wonderful Getaway

My wife and I rented this property with some friends for a quiet, new years getaway. We got exactly what we were looking for. The view from all season deck was amazing as we ate and played board games while staring at a frozen lake and mountains. We had a very relaxing and refreshing time.
