Sunset Serenity (Waterfront on Moosehead Lake!)
As the birds sing that last song of the day and the loon calls goodnight, the sun kisses the day goodbye, painting the sky a masterpiece of red and gold hues that whisper sweet serenity to the soul. Resting on the pinnacle of Black Point itself, one of the most exclusive neighborhoods of Beaver Cove, boasting a panoramic view of Maine's largest Lake from the shoreline, this gorgeous home offers a front-row seat to view one of Maine's breathtaking sunsets as the sun sets behind the western hills! With three bedrooms containing a king, queen and a queen sized bunk bed, Sunset Serenity offers that perfect balance of a cozy camp feel and spacious luxury that is just suited to a family or group of friends looking for that memorable getaway in the Northwoods! Whether it is sitting out on the deck with a warm cup of coffee in the morning, watching the morning sun streaming through the pines, or roasting those Marshmallows over the campfire, Sunset Serenity offers a reprieve from life's chaos at this peaceful sanctuary in the Northwoods of Maine! Whether you would like to enjoy a weekend of ice fishing out on the lake, exploring Maine's vast miles of trail with direct ATV and Snowmobile trail access, or enjoy a reprieve from the busyness of life, you will find that Sunset Serenity has something for everyone throughout every season! (To access the lake, follow the trail starting in the second driveway to the right of Sunset Serenity, down to the lake.)
Awesome location, Beautiful Decor, the layout is perfect for a large family, loved our dinners at the large table! The view is spectacular and the fishing action was pleasing. I would rent again, maybe summer time!!
The place was very nice and had a good setup and location. The fire pit is great. The views of the lake and sunset are great. The kitchen is setup well. Having 3 full bathrooms is a big plus. We enjoyed our stay and would book again.Suggestions for improvement: There were spiderwebs throughout the house and the fans could use a good dusting. The glass on the showers do not seal well, so the bathroom floor would get wet. There were not many towels provided. Two of the three bed rooms are very hot at night since they do not have a source of cool air. We found it unreasonable to have to haul our garbage 17 minutes down the road to a dumpster instead of just putting it in a garbage can on the location like we have at every other VRBO that we have stayed at. They will charge a minimum of 100 if any trash is left at the house which seems ridiculous with how much the cleaning and service fees are. The amount for the cleaning and service fees seem high in general especially since they say they will charge additional fees if x, y, and z are not done before you leave. The water access could be better marked. Right now, you walk through a construction site and across the lawn of another house which makes you think you're trespassing. A sign by the road for the path would be a nice addition. I did not detract any stars for any of this because this is just me being nitpicky. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend others to stay here.
