The stay wasnât bad, but also wasnât wonderful. It was acceptable but slightly disappointing for the cost. The place was ice cold when we got there (roughly 10-12 degrees), and it took about 20 minutes for it to start heating up again. The pillows could probably use an upgrade and the floors left my socks stained, unfortunately.
This was a lovely place to stay in Iceland! The room was clean. We loved looking out the large windows to see the night sky, northern lights, and the daytime scenery.
The views from the cottage were unbelievable. Might be my most favorite spot in all of Iceland to be honest! We were lucky enough to have a clear sunny day with an absolutely stunning sunset. Mountain ocean and grassland views with subtle city lights )in the distance). As an avid traveler, I never want to revisit places Iâve already been, however I will be thinking about my next trip to Iceland just to stay here again⊠absolutely amazing!
Loved the property, the room, location. Had trouble with the stove, and could not reach the owner. Luckily the housekeeper was very helpful. Highly recommend.
This cottage is located in a beautiful spot of the SnĂŠfellsnes peninsula, right on the beach looking over the Bjerdha Fjord.
It is close to Grundarfjörður town, which has grocery stores and restaurants, but at the same time it is isolated enough that we could see an amazing Northern lights spectacle late at night!
The glass walls on 2 sides of the cabin allow even to observe the lights from inside (there are all blocking blinds/curtains when you want privacy, no worries!).
The bathroom could use a bit more shelving space, and the kitchenette is really small, with a very tiny fridge.
But the view of the sunset on the shore, the amazing starry sky at night (in September) and the sheer quietness of this place made up amply for these little shortcomings.
Highly recommended!
