Shabby Chic, Not Cookie-Cutter | Walk to Beach

Le Shabby Chateau has never been the beige kind of beach house. She is full of shabby chic charm, coastal color, and the one-of-a-kind pieces I love to find, restore, and repurpose. I decorated her to feel collected rather than copied - pretty, comfortable, and a little unexpected in every room.

She is also in a wonderful spot for enjoying the Coast. Gulfport Beach is just a five-minute walk away, and the harbor, downtown Gulfport, Island View Casino, Biloxi, restaurants, shops, and more are all close by. You can fill your days with the beach and local sights, then come home to a quiet private yard and a house with a personality of her own.

The main house has 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms and sleeps six, with one king bed and two queen beds. There is room to gather in the living and dining rooms, a fully stocked kitchen for meals at home, a sunny front porch, and a cozy back sitting area. Outside, the large deck and private yard are surrounded by native palms and plants.

The main house includes:

- Fully stocked kitchen
- Combination coffee maker with a full-size pot and Keurig-style single-serve brewing
- Roku TVs in the living room and all three bedrooms
- Washer and dryer
- Linens and towels
- Shampoo, conditioner, soap, and makeup wipes
- Hair dryers in both bathrooms
- Carport parking for one car plus room for another in the driveway

Need a little extra room? Le Petit Chateau, the beautiful, tiny backyard cottage, may be rented separately for an additional charge when available. She sleeps two guests only, with one queen bed, a full bath, a sitting area, and a kitchenette with a Keurig coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven, small sink, and mini fridge. The cottage is not included with the main-house rental, so please ask about availability and combined rates.

I bought Le Shabby Chateau after Hurricane Katrina and spent years loving, restoring, and living in her. She is not a house I furnished from a catalog. Her shabby chic coastal style grew from my love of antiquing and giving old things new life, and that personal touch is what makes her different. If you want a Gulf Coast stay with character, comfort, and the beach close by, I would be glad to share her with you.

Very Relaxing Stay

Spring Break 2019

My daughters, grandsons, and I stayed in this home during spring break. The home was very nice and was in a great location. We were enjoyed taking the boys to a playground that was within walking distance and the Oceanaquarium nearby.. There were many things to do that were very close to where we stayed.

Great place to stay

My siblings and I enjoyed our stay. It is in a nice neighborhood, close to all activities. It had all the things we needed and was comfortable. It has a lot of room so you can have your space. I had trouble getting wi-fi on my ipad. The trip to ship island was great. I would stay again and recommend it to others.

Great place!

House and yard are immaculate! Very comfortable beds and furnishings. Kitchen had everything we needed. Owner was prompt in correspondence and very accomodating. Only negative is the house is fairly close to train tracks, but only seemed to affect a couple out of our party of seven. Definitely will stay again.

Weekend girl’s trip

The home and property were so well kept, clean and very charming. There was plenty of outdoor space and seating to relax and enjoy your time. The beach is only a few blocks away, and several great restaurants within blocks. The check in/out and “things to know” process was so easy. And last, but not least, the story of Le Shabby Chateau, is so interesting.

Great house!

We stayed at Shabby Chic for the month of February. It was a great house! We were there for the Gulf Coast Classic Horse Show so we shared with multiple families and it worked out really well. We also rented the cottage out back which worked great for the girl that worked for us. The owner couldn't have been nicer and we even had a cleaning service come through midway through our stay.

Happy Thanksgiving

We came down to spend Thanksgiving with our son. The house was well stocked with a nice large table, plenty of pans and spices that came in handy. We really appreciated all the extras like the shampoo and conditioner, soaps and cleaning supplies. It was nice to walk to the beach and look for shells even though it was cold.

Great place. Lovely house with plenty of space. Very comfortable beds and furniture. Plenty of sitting spaces. House was super clean and we had plenty of towels and linens. Neighborhood is quiet but you are close to train tracks and trains do run thru the area. We did not have a problem with this. There is a park with a splash pad within walking distance. Great place to stay!

Home Away From Home

From the moment we walked in the door, our entire family felt at home. Everything you'd possibly need was available...from cozy spaces large enough for us all, to smaller spaces to be alone that really felt like you were! The beach was so close and easily accessible which we loved but actually found ourselves just hanging out on the property a lot of the time. And that master bed y'all!!! Slept like a dream!! Comfortable and Cozy

This sweet little house had plenty of room for our crew to either be together or apart. It's on a quiet street that doesn't get any thru traffic. The beach and a really nice park are both within a short walk. The patio outside was perfect for early morning and evening bird watching in the thick foliage that surrounds the property. I did lots of reading out there....loved it. I did have a concern about the proximity of the train track - but it wasn't really a detriment. Our grandson was fascinated and that became (next to the beach) the highlight of his day. The owner responsive and always reachable for questions. Thanks Betsy!
