The house and property are very nice and well maintained, and it has a nice view. And communications with the owner/caretakers were very good. The collection of farm animals on the property also was every enjoyable to see each day.

Amazing location and view above Waimea Bay! We enjoyed seeing the chickens and other animals living on the property. The house is a 5 minute drive from a grocery store and coffee shop. The beds were very comfortable but some of the blankets and towels had stains. The host was very accommodating and provided us with other bedding and any other amenities we found we needed. The only thing we wished they had but didn’t was seating for 4.

Perfect beach house

We loved everything about this property! The location was perfect, close to the beaches and restaurants but felt very secluded. We will definitely plan to stay here again on our next visit to Hawaii.

Perfect spot in paradise

We totally enjoyed our stay at the Barefoot Bungalow. It’s a perfect location for local attractions-pipeline beach to see the waves, Haleiwa, Waialua Canyon & waterfall, Dole Plantation. The house is a good size for just two people-lovely to sit outside in the evening for dinner and cozy inside for relaxing before bed.

Wonderful accommodations with lots of privacy, and spectacular views. A mini resort with an abundance of things to do, see & explore. Will definitely visit again.

Slice of Paradise

The perfect bungalow for anyone looking to have a quiet Hawaiian vacation on the North Shore. The property is gorgeous and the host were fantastic. Beaches and restaurants are really close, and the views at sunset are breathtaking. Food trucks and grocery story are also very close. Rental car is recommended. Will return to this property in the future.

Lovely stay at a lovely property!

We loved staying here and will absolutely do so again if given the opportunity. The bungalow was nice and clean. The kitchen was stocked with all the cooking equipment you need and it was air conditioned. The closest beaches did get very crowded but less crowded beaches are about a 20 minute drive away. The hosts were so friendly and accommodating. There are also chickens on the property and we got fresh eggs for breakfast. So worth staying up here.

Beautiful property in perfect location

We stayed at barefoot bungalow for 4 nights after attending a family wedding at the military base and enjoyed every second of it. The communication with the host was smooth, their directions were perfect to find the house and it was very well decorated and appointed with anything you could need. We got a spell of extremely wet weather so I wish we could have spent more time enjoying the deck and views but appreciated the cozy tiny home to come back to to dry off and relax in. The outdoor shower was helpful to keep sand out of the house, (and rinse muddy shoes under). The chickens are a delight to watch, we didn’t realize we could take and eat their eggs and had already bought some at the store but next time we’ll know. Ample fruit trees on the property too, just pick your avocado on day 1 so you can enjoy it. We would absolutely rent here again. Thanks!

Adorable And So Relaxing

Loved everything about the Barefoot Bungalow experience. Communication and check in was easy, and the accommodations did not disappoint. Stylish and comfortable, beautiful grounds, and so relaxing. Chicken coop on property was entertaining and provided fresh eggs for breakfast. Lots of water sports gear available for use. For those not familiar with the North Shore, this property says Haleiwa but is actually up the hill from the grocery store in the Pƫpƫkea area. You need a vehicle to get up and down the hill. But close to Sharks Cove and Waimea. We absolutely loved it and would definitely stay again.

Tropical Relaxation

The bungalow is beautiful. It was perfect for our stay to visit grandchildren on the North Shore. We slept so soundly with the hawaiian breezes and we woke with the chickens in the morning. Couldn't ask for a more relaxing stay. Every type of ocean play gear was available for use. Chairs, snorkle equipment boogie boards, even surf boards. Fresh fruit, eggs rosemary, basil, and more were provided by the surrounding gardens. We love it! Thank you

A slice of heaven!

Well-appointed, adorable, one-bedroom home on a spacious property with gorgeous ocean views. Very peaceful and with a rural feeling, yet only minutes from Pupukea and all North Shore has to offer. Very comfy bed, large sunny and shaded deck with ocean view. Fruit trees and a large chicken coop on the property. I would stay here again tomorrow if I could!! We have rented loads of places and this is one of the best.

North Shore Oasis

What a beautiful property! While we only had a short time, the kids loved finding fruit to pick in the surrounding trees and getting eggs for breakfast from the chickens. The bungalo is cute and tastefully decorated and the bed was really comfortable. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Peaceful North Shore Getaway

We had a wonderful stay at this vacation rental. The location was perfect - quiet and calm, exactly what we were looking for. The property itself was lovely, with fruit frees we could pick from and chickens roaming around, wich was a delight for us. The property manager was also very responsive and answered all our inquires immediately. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing escape on the north shore.

My husband and I spent three nights here during our first visit to Oahu. We loved the location of the house with the well maintained landscaping, views, and quiet surroundings. Even has great view out the window of the shower. Getting eggs in the morning for breakfast was very cool. not much storage in the house for things you bring, but we made it work. The kitchen is stocked well enough. The bed was very comfortable too. It was very nice that the property had chairs (and lots of other items) to take with you to the beach. The grocery store down the road has everything you’d need, including alcohol. This area of the island was a great place to stay! The property manager was always available via text and solved an issue we had with the door lock immediately. We were sad to leave. This is the place to go if you want to absorb Oahu’s natural beauty and avoid the congestion of Waikiki. We drove all around the island during our stay and were always happy to be back “home.”

Wonderful Stay!

The Barefoot Bungalow felt like our summer cottage but on the north shore of Oahu! The communication throughout the whole check-in process was wonderful and the property itself was as described and very relaxing. Katie and Spencer were welcoming hosts and the grounds provided numerous treats to make the stay even more special!

Honeymoon!

My wife and I stayed at Barefoot Bugalow for our honeymoon and we absolutely loved it. The check-in/check-out process was a breeze. Owners of the property were very friendly and communication was amazing. The property is beautiful and we were encouraged to grab any fresh fruits or eggs during our stay. Access to all the beach gear was also a plus. Location of the house to various beaches and attractions on the North Shore was perfect for my wife and I. We enjoy the quiet and relaxing environment compared to the fast pace resorts or Wakiki area. Would 100% recommend staying here. We will definitely come back and stay at the same property.

Owner of the property was very nice. The place was clean however it’s not super clean tho. The mold on the curtains was a turn off. It just made the place feel dirty. 3 of the 4 curtains had molds on them.

Beautiful North Shore stay

What an amazing property. Trees, gardens, ocean views. The little house was perfect, it had everything we needed. There is a grocery store on the main road to get what you need for your stay. Communication with host was great.

Wonderful Place Respite in the North Shore

We had a wonderful time at the little bungalow with my husband, son and his gf. He is currently stationed there and he recommended NS as best spot to stay b/c he loves it. We were able to spend the weekend with them exploring and enjoying the beaches, the town of Haleiwa, shave ice, and making dinners together in the well stocked kitchen. The poke bowls at Foodland is amazing and so reasonable. It is also well stocked for all your cooking needs. The fruit trees provided us with avocados and sour oranges
lovely. The chickens and roosters provide an early morning wake up call but eventually you don’t notice or mind. It added to the North Shore quaintness vibe of the entire experience. The trip filled our hearts and loved experiencing the North Shore through our son’s eyes and experiences he had gained while being here. Thank you Katie for the welcome and the wonderful time.
