We were in town for a Dalhousie event. Very convenient location, walking distance to everything and across the street from gorgeous public gardens. We were traveling with two small dogs, crated. The hotel has a lovely gift bag to welcome them on arrival. The room was beautifully appointed and the Nespresso coffee was delightful. The staff was friendly and the whole stay was exactly what we needed

We had an amazing night in Halifax. This hotel was on par with the cost of other hotels but this hotel is a cut above. It was classy and timeless. The staff make you feel special. It sets the standard that every hotel should aim to achieve. We will be back!

Very nice hotel

We checked in to this historic hotel close to downtown Halifax to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This hotel is an early 20th century landmark, not overly ornate, but classic and tasteful. The room was quiet and comfortable, with high quality beds and linens. When the front staff heard that we were celebrating our anniversary, they left us a lovely gift of a bottle of champagne and a box of chocolates with a note from the hotel team. This was unexpected and appreciated. All in all, we loved our stay.

I guess the only think I wonder about is the parking charge. I was told while checking in that parking was $34 or 35 a day. But on the sign out side it’s $2.00/hr or $20 a day. Why are your guests charged an extra $15 a day??
