We were in town for a Dalhousie event. Very convenient location, walking distance to everything and across the street from gorgeous public gardens. We were traveling with two small dogs, crated. The hotel has a lovely gift bag to welcome them on arrival. The room was beautifully appointed and the Nespresso coffee was delightful. The staff was friendly and the whole stay was exactly what we needed

I stayed two nights. The first night I ordered room service. The next morning at 8am the housekeeping staff knocked in the door and asked if I needed anything. I told her no. I went about my day and returned to the hotel at 0930pm. The serving tray with the leftover meal from the night before was still in my room. I took it outside my room, left it on a table in the corridor and it was still there in the morning.

Third time staying at Lord Nelson, always a pleasant experience. While the room in suite 543 was spacious and clean, the bathroom is awkwardly small and there is only a view of an internal mechanical courtyard that was pretty bleak.
