Built in 1912, the Huffman house displays it original charm with inspiring views of the Anaconda range and Flint Creek valley. The house has a fully-equipped kitchen with filtered cold tap water in the kitchen and bathroom, along with new appliances including dishwasher, garbage, microwave, disposal, and heated floor in the bathroom. When not enjoying the outdoors, log on to the Wi-Fi network to contact friends and family, or watch the local television stations or Netflix. There is a telephone for local calls, washer-dryer in the basement, iron and ironing board in the closet, hair dryer in the bathroom, and a new barbecue grill on the back deck. Relax on an inviting front porch gazing at the Anaconda Pintler Wilderness, while imaging the view during the silver mining boom of the 1880s. The Huffman house is a 2 minute (0.3 mile) walk to main street, where you will find restaurants, shops selling everything from local sapphires to candy, a brew pub, and during the winter months a skating and ice hockey rink. From the house there is immediate access to hiking and mountain biking trails in to the Flint Creek Range, and it is a short drive to Granite ghost town, Georgetown Lake and Discovery Ski area. For a longer adventure follow the 40-mile Philipsburg Valley Scenic Loop, 8 miles of which follows Rock Creek famous for world-class fly fishing. Philipsburg is located near the halfway-point between Yellowstone (201 miles) and Glacier (205 miles) National Parks.
