I spend 200+ nights a year travelling for work and this is by far THE BEST accommodation experience I’ve ever had. First off, incredibly polite staff that clearly have a passion for what they do. We were upgraded to a two bedroom apartment at no extra charge. It had AC, two bathrooms, two showers, fans in each room, a washer/dryer, full kitchen and everything you needed to cook meals. Breakfast was included and you could pick anything off the A La Carte menu with a drink. I’ve never experienced an included breakfast this good. There was also a hot tub we were able to book and use privately and it was wonderful. The hotel has a deal with the Snap Fitness across the street so I was able to get two solid workouts in. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely stay here again if I’m able to.

Clean, huge room with great amenities. Nice to use the 24 hour gym across the parking lot. Great breakfast options. Friendly staff. Grocery store across the street if you want to cook or pick up snacks. Lovely town.

We booked this as it had an onsite restaurant and gym facility to use, unfortunately the restaurant was closed for dinner but there were plenty of fast food restaurants within walking distance. The gym which is 5mins away was superb with lots of equipment available. Breakfast was very good. Room had limited view.

Beautiful location with nice walks around a smallish lake. Very close to a range of restaurants or you can walk 15 mins into Cambridge town centre for more shops and restaurants. Lovely clean room with a plush breakfast selection. The gym is in an adjacent building but with a great selection of machines.

I really enjoyed our stay at hidden lake. The property was clean and modern. There was no one at the front desk when we checked in, but there’s a sign to call a number. When we called, Glenda (or Brenda?) one of the managers came to help us and she was super sweet. We were able to check in early too. Rachel was the main server at breakfast and I liked that the breakfast was made to order. Very tasty and she was also super sweet. Our second day Glenda was helping out for breakfast too. I thought that was nice. The property is in a plaza with a lot of dining options too. I would highly recommend this hotel :)

Great Base for Local Adventures

Hidden Lake Hotel in Cambridge was a perfect spot for exploring nearby attractions like Hobbiton, the Rotorua thermal spas, and the Waitomo Caves. The staff made us feel really special on our honeymoon, and the hotel had a calm, comfortable vibe that was ideal after busy days out exploring.
