Newly remodeled house in a quiet neighborhood setting
Newly remodeled house in quiet coastal neighborhood setting. Just minutes from Tidal Falls, multiple surrounding lakes and ponds, hiking trails, local food, spirits, shopping and 30 minutes from Acadia National Park/Bar Harbor.
Property was cozy and had some amenities provided which was very nice! Very close to Tidal Falls which was amazing at low tide for seeing starfish/sea stars.
House was very clean and in a beautiful, quiet area. It had everything we needed for a great vacation to Acadia National Park! This is a great place to stay and we'd definitely stay here again. The nearby tidal falls were amazing.
Our stay in Amy's Gull House was wonderful. The house is clean, well equipped and was perfect for us. It's location half way between Mount Desert Island and Schoodic Peninsula makes it a perfect base for an Acadia region vacation. Amy was very responsive and helpful at all times. Highly recommend and would love to stay here again.
We loved every minute of our stay in Maine! The house was exceptionally clean and was fully stocked with everything we needed to make our stay so enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again.
This little gem of a rental was perfect. Great location for visiting the area as itâs on a very quiet street set back in the trees. Seen deer and turkeys in the backyard. Away from the very busy Bar Harbor area. 45 min. to Acadia. Has everything you need and air conditioning worked great. Nice seating area outside. Very much enjoyed our stay.
We had the best stay at The Gull House! Check in was super easy, the house had everything we needed and we were very comfortable for the entirety of our stay. I appreciated the extra touchesâŠlike the Keurig and assortment of k-cups! The house is in a super quiet neighborhood, it felt very peaceful and serene. We discovered that there were a few turkeys the first morning we were there and loved looking for them as we had our coffee each morning after that. Tidal falls is absolutely beautiful and such a bonus that the house is within walking distance. The house is situated perfectly between MDI and the Schoodic peninsulaâŠwe visited both areas of Acadia and thought the proximity between the 2 made for an easy trip to either. Thank you Amy for providing everything we needed for a wonderful family vacation in Acadia!
Cozy, private house to stay in, plenty of room for a family of 5, great for Acadia. Small town near restaurants (about 15 minutes), and also very close to Tidal Falls (a hidden gym). Kids loved the swing out front and the wildlife.
The house was great, well stocked with everything we could have needed for our stay. We were outside of Acadia where we still got to experience authentic Maine!
This house was a great home base for our time in the Acadia Region. We found it just as described in the listing: comfortable, cozy, in a quiet location, well appointed. Would not hesitate to recommend to a friend.
This was a clean, peaceful, comfortable house that I would not hesitate to recommend to family and friends. It was nice having the pamphlets for area attractions and the guest journal so we could see what previous guests recommended in the area.
Recently stayed at Amyâs Gull House and we had a great time. Had all the comforts of home and very accessible to the beach and a family reunion we had in nearby Lamoine. Amy was very responsive and would definitely stay again!
We spent 4 nights here for our trip to Acadia National park. It was perfectly located between the main part of Acadia on Mount Desert Island and the Schoodic Peninsula part of Acadia. Check-in was a breeze the house was super clean and comfortable. The kids enjoyed hanging out in the yard playing on the swing or lounging in the hammock. As a bonus, Tidal Falls is right down the street where the kids loved hanging out searching for crabs and sea stars every evening at low tide
This is a gem! Located outside of the hustle and bustle of MDI, but close enough to get to MDI and experience all it has to offer. The owners thought of everything you could have needed to make the stay comfortable. There was just the right amount of dishes/supplies to meet all our needs. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!
My dad and I stayed here for four nights. Overall the house was a great place to stay at; it was very clean, well stocked, and was plenty of space for the two of us. The only issue that stuck out to me was that there was a noticeable new paint smell throughout the house. Some minor quirks we noticed: the washer had the hot and cold lines swapped and the blinds were installed backwards (both of these have been remedied since). Itâs not too far from Acadia and the neighborhood is especially quiet and relaxed.
My husband, 8 year old daughter, and I loved this property. This house was so cute and the pictures don't show how big, green, and private the property is. Pictures were accurate with the newer updates and furnishings and the place was super clean. We only had 2 full days to explore the area before returning home from a family get together in northern Maine. It was perfect location between Acadia's Schoodic Peninsula (our favorite!) - 25 mins and Mt Desert Island/Bar Harbor - 35/40 mins. Tidal Falls Preserve was a few minutes away and a cute area to explore also! I loved this house and the area and wished we had more time to stay. We had a group of wild turkeys running through the yard on our return to the home our last night! I had a question about places to get groceries before we arrived and got a quick reply from the host. I would definitely stay here again.
Extremely clean cottage located near a few serene parks and a 40 min drive into the heart of Bar Harbor. Beds were a bit soft for our liking, but thatâs just a personal preference.
Few suggestions on things we missed: a vacuum or hand vacuum (with the hikes & and surrounding area shoes get dirty quickly) some spices and olive oil for cooking.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.
Lovely, updated two-bedroom house in a beautiful setting! Situated half-way between two Acadia National Park destinations - the more popular (and more crowded) Mt Desert Island/Bar Harbor and the beautiful (less crowded) Schoodic Peninsula. The house was clean and well-cared for with newer appliances and the convenience of a washer and dryer. Check-in and out was simple and Amy made herself available but we had absolutely no issues during our stay. Would definitely stay again!
The property was exactly as advertised. Quiet, clean & comfortable! Kitchen was well stocked. Washer & dryer were a plus. Unfortunately, I had to work some while on vacation, but the Wi-Fi worked great. Owner was friendly, helpful & responded quickly to messages. Thanks for a great stay!
