Peaceful vacation home with stunning ocean views and private woods

This adorable home is open, light and spacious with incredible ocean views surrounded by 2 acres of private woods.

From the house you can watch the lobster boats go by right from the sofa, with incredible ocean views from the living room and front of the house. Or relax on our new large deck, surrounded by evergreen woods at the rear of the house. Cook outside on the grill or star gaze at night! Watch the eagles, osprey, and sometimes seals and deer from right from the property.

There are two bedrooms with new queen beds and organic bedding on the second and first floor, both with ocean views. The second floor bedroom is the master suite that has It's very own bathroom and large dormer ceilings and a small sitting area and bookshelves to comfortably read or have a cup of tea in your own space. The third bedroom has a twin bed with peaceful views out to the woods. The property has new landscaping so you can enjoy the outdoors with just as much comfort. The full bathroom is one the first floor, fully equipped with a shower, bathtub, hairdryer and lots of storage space. Both bathrooms will have organic towels and soaps for your stay.

The kitchen is large and open plan with fully stocked with everything you should need to cook daily. There is a beautiful dining room next to the kitchen perfect for entertaining, morning coffee or for an evening glass of wine.

The living room has lots of light and windows and views of the ocean! The dining room seats 4 to 6, in front of a large window with an ocean view.

The coveted Hancock Point is close by quiet and relaxing, but close to everything. Groceries, shopping, beaches, restaurants, tennis, sailing, hiking, are all close by!! For a day trip, you can get to Acadia National Park, and Schodic point in about 30 minutes. This house is ready to go for winter rentals as well and is perfect for a cozy winter stay. Cross country skiing in Acadia is a must do!

This was a great place for us and our two dogs. The house was very comfortable and extremely clean. It was stocked with most of the items you need for a stay. Very quiet neighborhood but within 30-45 minutes of many places one would want to visit including Acadia. Very easy check-in and checkout process. Some really good dining choices in Hancock. We plan to return next year.

Girls trip to Maine was awesome! Our stay here was amazing. Beautiful views from the large front window and from upstairs. You can get a glimpse of the sunrise colors over the water. The house was gorgeous inside and out. Very clean and nicely decorated. Flowers and bees were a buzzing about. The weather 9-12 thru 9-17 was great for outdoor hiking. I highly recommend staying here. Fly into Bangor and close to Bar Harbor! Loved going on Lulu’s lobster boat and Bar Harbor Premium tour to Acadia National Park. Both well worth your time and money.

We recently stayed 4 days in this property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The check-in process was very convenient and there were fresh flowers in the living room and kitchen. The property had all the conveniences and sheets and linen provided were of fantastic quality. They had some really good maps and guidebooks to explore Acadia NP and the surrounding area. The property is really quiet and peaceful and all the rooms, especially the living room have a fantastic view of the bay. Jamie was a great host and was extremely prompt in responding to all my queries. Finally the checkout was also very smooth. I would highly recommend this property and the host.

No one wanted to leave

This home was a joy to stay in. Beautiful view. A bit further from the park than desired but at a more reasonable price than others. No central air conditioning so be aware. The TV is pretty small too. And no traditional sized cereal bowls. And poor shower water pressure. However everything else about the property was excellent. Would definitely come again. On the last day no one wanted to leave.

MDI 10K

Our family needed a place to stay close to Bar Harbor because my son and I were running the MDI 10K. The house is close to Bar Harbor and Ellsworth but feels miles from there. Easy check in plenty of room for us and our dog. We had a lovely stay and appreciated the special touches our Hist had for us. Would love to visit again.

Tranquil getaway

My family of 4 and dog enjoyed staying here. The house was a bit dated but that added to the charm. The scenery is gorgeous from most of the rooms (if you are exploring the neighborhood please stay off the land across the street -it's private property!) The location was ~45 minutes from Acadia National Park and 10-15 minutes from Ellsworth. Check-in was easy and Jamie was a great host.

The perfect waterfront stay!!

We had the most relaxing stay here!! the exterior of the property was really well maintained - we sat in the front yard looking at water or on the back deck admiring the wildflower garden every morning. The furnishing of the house was perfect - so homey and simple but felt elevated at the same time (it didn’t feel like a rental in the best way). The fresh flower arrangements were really the nicest touch. The neighborhood is great for walking, and plenty of nice trails and outdoor activities within a 5 min drive too (the hosts sent great recs). If you plan to do laundry, there’s a drying line outside so just plan accordingly with the weather. We had the best time here and were so sad to leave this peaceful place!

Peaceful location, beautiful views

We spent a wonderful few days in Hancock, using it as a base from which to explore the surrounding areas. The house was immaculate. Clean and well-equipped with good quality bedding and towels. We appreciated the fresh flowers left in the house by the host. It was a tranquil, comfortable place to spend afternoons/evenings after exploring Acadia and Bar Harbor, which are about 40 minutes away. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck as well as taking in the views of the bay from the front lawn. All in all, a great experience.

The property was nice and the location very quiet. A little far to travel repeatedly if your aim is to spend most of the time in Bar Harbor or Acadia. Great if you want to just get away though. Has a generator which was useful during a power outage during the big storm.
