First shower flooded the bathroom because the water did not drain. Flooded the bathroom had to use all the towels to stop the flood. They came and fixed drain and just left the bathroom

The Royal Palace Hotel is exceptional value for money. Right in the heart of the old quarter downtown Hanoi. The Hotel is in close proximity to Hoan Kiem Lake and the famous Beer Street. The Staff here were amazing, they kept in contact with us from the onset of our booking, to our arrival in Hanoi. We were met at the Airport by a Taxi and taken directly to the Royal Palace . Special thanks to Celina and Jimmi on the front desk. Both spoke English and went out of their way to make our stay here enjoyable, giving advice on the restaurants we should visit,and attractions to see. The Royal Palace also has their own in-house Tourist booking office. We took advantage of the 5 Star 2 day Ha Long Bay cruise. Amazing with a private Limo transfer. So sad to be leaving Hanoi and will definitely miss the hospitality of the Royal Palace .

Location and staff very kind. They let us leave our bags in the hotel while we left for Sapa and Ha Giang for 6 days. Our belongings were all safe. We were also able to check in past midnight when we arrived from Ha Giang. They have 24 hrs reception which is very handy.

This small hotel is right in the heart of the Old Town. There are restaurants, clothing and souvenir outlets galore right on the door step and the Water Puppet theatre is only a short walk away. We had an extremely clean, air conditioned Balcony which had a balcony overlooking a busy street but we were not disturbed by street noise. Breakfast caters for both the eastern and western palate and the staff is keen to assist with any request. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

We traveled from Canada and chose this hotel based on the pictures we saw online. However, we were shocked by how dirty both the hotel and surrounding area were. Our biggest concern came when, despite having a reservation for two nights, the hotel changed our room without informing us. Our passports were still inside the safe in the original room, which they then gave to another family. When we contacted the reception and the manager, they showed no concern or responsibility. Be very careful—this hotel is not safe, and the area is also unclean.

The location was perfect! It’s located right in Old Quarter area so it was a good pick up spot for our Ha Long Bay excursion. There are so many shops (food, clothing, etc) right out front and walking distance to a lake around the corner! The facilities were also very clean. Traveling as a family of 5, this place was one of the few hotels that offered a large enough room to accommodate us and everything was clean, the air conditioning worked and overall had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The staff at this hotel was also so wonderful and helpful throughout our stay. If we had any problems, they would be quick to fix it and helped us arrange our airport shuttles, accommodated for late check-ins and even allowed for luggage storage (which was something that was important for us!) A huge shout out to Miss Cenlina and Mr Jimmi the receptionist for being the best! Celina is amazing at both English and Vietnamese, so it was really helpful having her be able to converse with me as well as my parents. She was always so sweet and welcoming with all guests!

it was located in the old quarters and walking distance to many restaurants / spas / shopping areas. the staffs were really nice. they recommended places to go such as the night market that happens every fri, sat, sun! they also helped me to book a taxi to the airport on my last day!
