We stayed a lovely 6 nights here in Hanoi, (split into 2 x 3 night stays) whilst holidaying from Australia. All the staff were very professional and friendly, always greeting us with a smile. They went above and beyond making us feel very welcome, treating us both like family. They were always very knowledgeable, helping us with daily things like booking cars, sightseeing advice, dining suggestions and even finding a chemist and phone repair shop. When a problem occurred with our room hot water failing, they promptly addressed the issue by moving us to a bigger room (upgrade). Whilst staying we went on a 3 day trip to Sapa and the hotel even minded some of our luggage in our absence to lighten our load, which was appreciated. We also did a full day trip to Nimh Binh. When the tour driver turned up unexpectedly early that morning, the hotel staff even hurriedly made us up a lovely breakfast to take with us on the bus to ensure we did not miss out.The rooms we stayed in were nicely decorated, very clean and comfortable for a restful stay and night sleep. Air conditioning worked well.

We stayed in this hotel for one night at the start of our three-week trip and received a very warm welcome. Jenny in particular was very accommodating and super warm! Our bed was decorated because we were on our honeymoon and we even got a small plate with cake and writing. All the other staff were also super friendly. We felt completely at home and can only recommend the hotel! We have since stayed in another (4-star) hotel in Hanoi, which was in no way comparable and not nearly as nice as the Royal Palace Hotel.

The location was great. Close to the old quarter but enough off the beaten path to be quiet at night. The staff were friendly and welcoming. They accommodated our needs and helped us get into the room we wanted. They spoke excellent English.
