There's a restaurant on site. You can enjoy a drink at the bar/lounge. WiFi is free in public spaces. The Green Man by Greene King Inns also features a terrace and a garden. Self parking is free.
check in at 7:15 pm, and been ask if I want to eat because it's a busy day. I say yes, receptionist suggests 8:30. At 8:30, they serve people behind me in the queue (be with you in one minute) and I'm told I have to wait 40 mn more.
Fortunately, I found a very good Indian restaurant in the village, 500 m walk away
Very pleasant welcome upon arrival. My room was spacious and well appointed including a fan which proved essential as the evening was extremely warm. The bathroom looked nice but I was disappointed that the main shower-head barely worked and obviously needed to be descaled. The water didn't taste particularly nice and bottled water in the room.
Breakfast was busy and fairly good but let down by very anaemic sausages that only appeared to be just cooked. Again, pleasant staff.
Nice room with good supply of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits and a chocolate each which was nice. Lovely decor, just a little bit of maintenance needed as tap in bath moved. When using and a bit of enamel missing on bath, but all in all, a comfortable stay with a generous breakfast in the morning. Friendly welcoming staff.
Stayed for 3 nights, staff couldnât be more friendly or helpful throughout our stay. Food next door in the pub was really good too. Would highly recommend.
Would definitely stay here again. Everyone was so friendly and the hotel was nice and quiet. Ideally located for everything around with everything in easy reach.
Amazing welcome (to stay overnight) - really friendly.
Rooms were great, enjoyed the food on a busy evening (Thursday!), and had a drink in the bar.
Stayed before a Stansted Airport trip - it's only about 15 mins away (and much much nicer than a mundane airport hotel!)
Lovely stay would recommend except the porter decide to bang on the bedroom door 3 times in the night. My partner just thought it was kids and ignored it. Until the 3rd bang on the door he opened it and was t very happy to find the porter saying can you keep the noise down we were fast asleep worse night sleep. I would suggest the porter puts his ear against the door before banging on doors waking people up. Should have just drove home.
