FISH GALORE
Herrington Lake has had a reputation as one of the best fishing locations in Kentucky for many years. You can find bluegill, catfish, crappie, hybrid striped bass, largemouth bass, spotted bass and white bass.
The fun doesn't stop when the sun goes down.
Come enjoy your very own backyard aquarium starting at dusk. Green underwater fish lights under dock attract the stripper, largemouth, catfish, gar.

* WINTER POOL:
From November to March, Herrington Lake transitions to winter pool levels. Rest assured, our dock is still in deep water as always! However, the gangway will be off the steel steps, and guests will need to climb down a few rocks to reach it. It’s part of the winter lake experience!”

Other Things to note:
Navigating steps is a must to reach these breathtaking views
22 steps to front door then 3 flights of steps to access the dock
The steps leading from back deck to dock have open handrails (no spindles), use caution. Child safety gate at top of steps leading to the dock. We ask children be supervised while descending steps.
All steps are lit.

Leave the trailer at the marina. We have no room for a trailer and no turn-around space.

November to April Herrington Lake is at winter pool. During these months, dock remains in deep water but gangway will not be attached to deck steps. To reach dock, guests will step off of steps onto rocks and navigate down rocks to reach gangway of dock. Caution advised.

Home is not handicap accessible.
Bring your kiddos! But home is not toddler-proof or baby-proof.

Lake house is surrounded by trees. While this is peaceful, it does mean you will encounter bugs, leaves, pollen, small twigs. Pollen and leaves will settle on outdoor furniture & decking. During the colder months, small wildlife critters (such as mice) may try to find a warm cozy place to hide. This may include inside the lake house. While the house is professionally cleaned, keep in mind the house is still a lake house nestled amongst nature and wildlife.
We are perched on a cliff which means you will encounter uneven terrain, rock and mud if you venture off the patio, deck and steps.

Quiet hours: 10pm - 6am

Cell service is spotty here on the lake. We have pockets of good reception and we have areas of bad reception. Wifi is reliable.
If having constant cell service is important, please take note of this important detail prior to booking.

Damage protection - The $40 charge listed as a "management fee" on your quote covers your purchase of $1500 of "all risk" damage protection coverage on the rental property. This protection is purchased in lieu of a cash damage deposit. Coverage details are spelled out in the rental agreement.

Rental agreement is considered electronically accepted when reservation is confirmed. No physical signature is required.
