Shared utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer and bike/equipment store.. Garden with patio, sitting-out area and garden furniture. One dog welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times (livestock nearby). Private parking for 1 car. No smoking.. In a perfect rural location Bramble Cottage is one of two peaceful cottages on a mixed arable farm (the other being Buttercup Cottage DC4894) which have been delightfully converted from a former farm cart shed. Well equipped and tastefully furnished, each cottage has its own patio for relaxing and taking in the views after a day out exploring this lovely corner of Yorkshire. There is under floor heating for those cooler days ensuring a comfortable stay at any time of the year. This area is a haven for bird watchers, Red Kites, Curlews and Lapwings can all be seen in close proximity to the properties. Ideal for touring and enjoying the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales, Slate Rigg Farm Cottages provide a perfect and attractive setting. The picturesque village of Ripley is a 15 minute walk away with the splendour of Ripley Castle, gardens, tea shop and grounds to visit and during the summer numerous events are hosted in the castle grounds. Ripley has a traditional butchers shop, delicatessen, church, Post Office and a pub. The spa town of Harrogate, a 10 minute drive away has a theatre, cinema, restaurants and excellent shopping to combine to make an enjoyable day out.

I had a lovely stay at Bramble cottage.

I had a lovely stay at Bramble cottage. Everything was perfect for me. Cottage had everything I needed, very clean and warm. Dawn was very helpful and lovely to chat to and responded quickly to what I needed. The welcome touches of milk, tea bags , biscuits, fruit and flowers is very thoughtful .Loved the laundry room everything dried so quickly.Great to have your own parking space.Thank you for a lovely stay hoping to be back next year.

Fantastic holiday, great countryside views.

Fantastic holiday, great countryside views. Very clean, well equipped, I didn’t need to take anything with me, it had everything from spare toilet roll to marigold gloves, I even completed the jigsaw that had been provided for us 😃. Could have stayed longer. The only negative being, we struggled with the heating a little to try and maintain a consistent temperature, did say to Dawn and she thanked me for letting her know and said she’d sort it out. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to visit the Yorkshire Dales.

We had the most wonderful stay at Bramble Cottage.

We had the most wonderful stay at Bramble Cottage. The location was wonderful with so many interesting places within a very short drive. The cottage itself was very well equipped and immaculately clean. Dawn and Keith were very welcoming and friendly and we loved the little welcome pack with Tea, Biscuits, Bowl of Fruit and Milk in the fridge - everything you need for when you first get there. The cottage location is very quiet with just the occasional call from the birds to disturb the silence - just want you need when escaping from real life! Now looking at dates for next year as we are definitely going back!

Bramble Cottage is beautifully converted and comfortable.

Bramble Cottage is beautifully converted and comfortable. We would have liked some walking books and an OS map of the area. The cottage is well placed to visit Harlow Carr and various NT properties. A 10 minute walk takes you into Ripley village which is very attractive and has a bus route ( every 20 minutes) into Harrogate and Ripon.
