ABOUT ANTELOPE LAKE

-- this is a quiet, family-friendly lake
- often only a hand full of watercraft are in the water
- the lakebed tends to be rocky, water shoes are recommended

ABOUT THE AREA
- this is a beautiful, unspoiled rural development
- access includes gravel, a 4-wheel drive vehicle is advised in rainy or snowy weather
- it is surrounded by great hunting terrain with lots of PLOTS land
- multiple small towns nearby to explore

Within 30-45 minutes you will find multiple small town communities to explore - including Harvey, Rugby, Anamoose, Drake, and Balta. Gas, bait, groceries, restaurants, coffee shops, golf courses, medical care and even some darling boutiques are such fun to discover. The friendliness and hospitality of small town ND can not be beat! Inside the home, I have a list of my personal favorite shops and restaurants.

AREA FAVORITES:
- The Balta Bar in Balta, ND
- 1909 Steakhouse in Anamoose, ND
- Calacas Cocina (Mexican restaurant) in Harvey, ND
- additional recommendations for groceries, etc are available upon request

PLEASE NOTE;
- While I do welcome pets, they must be on leash when outside the yard. I also require that they stay off beds and furniture. Please pick up all pet waste. Additionally, I do charge an extra fee for pet stays.

- Smoking is only allowed in the driveway. Please pick up all cigarette butts.

- Hunters and fishermen are welcome guests. I provide a fish and game cleaning table and an electric knife. I do ask that all cleaning of game/fish is done outside. The HOA has an incinerator near the entrance of the development in which carcasses must be deposited.

- Firearms must be stored safely and cannot be fired in the yard or on HOA property.

- While we strive to be family-friendly, child safety is the responsibility of guests. Please look over toys, gates and other aspects of the property to ensure your child is safe. Please use extreme caution with children when near the water. We want The Nest to be a place where only great memories are made.

- Please be considerate of neighbors. This is a friendly, welcoming neighborhood.

- We do own and personally use the grey two-story home next door. My family and I are often present to answer questions and/or show guests around. The lake path is shared between the two cabins - but is not shared with any other HOA members. I typically stop in and introduce myself when guests arrive. Outside of that, I am happy to chat with guests if they initiate it, however, I am careful to respect your privacy.

WINTER: There is winter access. Access includes 7 miles of gravel, so we advise a 4 wheel drive truck in icy, snowy or muddy conditions. In winter months, we will have snow cleared from the driveway when you are scheduled to arrive - however, as we live off-site, daily snow removal on the lot will not be provided. The backyard path will not available in the winter. With the exception of the driveway, the county clears snow on all roads leading to the property.

Antelope Lake is a wonderful, little-known location in which to gather with family or friends to explore, boat, fish, hunt, hike, bike, nap or . . . no matter the season.

Best rental we have stayed at

This house was fully equip with anything and everything we could’ve needed from all the kitchen items to yard games, indoor games, kayaks, etc. The walk to the lake is a bit of a steep slope and very slippery mud if it rains. Google maps does not give you the correct directions so contact the host, she has better directions to get you there. Host was really great, very kind and helpful but respectful of our privacy as well. She was great! We will definitely be back!

Nice Getaway

this property surpassed our expectations. It was clean and comfortable and met all of our needs and then some.It was quiet and extremely peaceful and added to our serenity. The views were spectacular. The walk to the lake was well groomed and the bench along the way was good for meditation. Kayaks were a nice addition. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a nice getaway and peaceful retreat!

Perfect cabin for anniversary

Stayed at this charming cabin for our anniversary for 4 nights. Very clean, bright, and cheery. Quiet, new development of cabins. The hike to the water is fairly steep but manageable on foot, the boat loading ramp is very close by. We caught quite a bit of fish. Will plan to stay again sometime :)

Family Stay at the Lake

It was an amazing house that offered everything you would need for a family of 4 and a dog. The lake is magical, and so close to the home it made it really easy to walk down and swim/fish in the lake. We loved the accommodation, and have already booked an additional stay with them!

Always Awesome

This is the second time Alicia has hosted us for an annual hunting trip. Everything is ultra-smooth when dealing with Alicia. She is organized, leaves nothing to chance, and is super responsive to questions. The property is clean, well outfitted/maintained and very convenient for our needs.

Great place for family gathering

Beutiful piece of paradise. The location is in the boonies but worth the drive to get there. The host is very accommodating and has personal touches throughout the house. Everything you think you might need is there, from the kitchen(including coffee and fish breading) extra blankets, games for indoor and out, outdoor seating and kayaks. Highly suggest to anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of life to relax for a few days

Friends get away

Alicia really communicated with me in a quick matter. It is so cute and love the decor. Nice to have a few things like spices, paper towels, toiletries and cookware etc if you forgot something. She even had coffee and filters. Fish cleaning table the best. She check in with us when we arrived if any questions and how to reach her. I stayed in a lot of VRBO she is the best communication in.

Amazing!

We had an amazing time at The Nest. The location of the property is nice and remote so you don’t have to listen to any highway traffic. The cleanliness of the property is, by far, one of the best we’ve ever been to. We’ve been to a few where we have actually had to clean up a bit before settling in…not the case here. The owners are extremely hospitable and available. They allowed us to use their kayaks for the lake. We arrived a little later than I would like, so I had to call and ask for a little guidance to find the place. Alicia was very gracious and stayed on the phone until she saw me drive onto the property. In conclusion, we will definitely be using The Nest again when we visit the area. Five stars all the way!

Family Lake weekend

Back for a second year, this property has it all! We fished, played on the jet ski, did lots of walking to and from lake on the beautiful new trail, played games, laughed and enjoyed the views. The nest is very clean and has all you need for a comfortable vacation. Communication with host is simple and fast. You will not be disappointed and will leave refreshed and relaxed.

Perfect Location for our fishing group

Group of guys decided to give this area a try for our annual fishing trip. By far the best place we have stayed in15+ years. Property manager was responsive to all our questions, place was ready for us on our check in day early. Well equipped with everything you need. Boat dock is good & close by. The weather wasn't the best the days we were there for fishing however we loved the Nest. We are looking forward to returning again in the future & will hope for better weather (we did have enough fish for a fry & to each take some home.)
