Are you looking for a sun and sand filled vacation at an affordable, Outer Banks OCEANFRONT rental? Well look no further. The Lost Shaker of Salt is the perfect place for fun, romance and relaxation.

The Shaker is Small, But the Beach is Wide! The 'Shaker' is a free-standing one-room efficiency cabana, decorated in beach-house style. It is nestled among a cluster of forty small cabanas. Its features include a queen bed, a deluxe full size lay-z-boy pullout sleeper sofa with additional air mattress topper, and a kitchenette. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the amenities of home. The maximum occupancy is three people. The Shaker has four outside decks, the top decks has an amazing ocean view! Recipe for the perfect beach getaway: Just add Rum!

You can take your morning coffee with you on a stroll along the beach. While away the days in the hunt for the perfect sea shells. Watch the dolphins play in and out of the waves. Rig up a fishing pole and talk fish tales with the locals. Or grab your surf board and catch the perfect wave.

The stay was exactly what we needed. The cabana was as described but would reccommend bringing own towels. A screen door was laying on the deck which made it unuseable. Curtains kinda see through which made me uncomfortable would have rated perfect score if not for those little things!

Host didn’t answer right away. I posted Friday we needed help she answered on Saturday or Sunday. I text her days before our stay with a question she has yet to answer. The place stunk like sewage. We could not find where the smell was coming from.

The property was fine the problem was hurricane Erin which caused us to evacuate. I have summited for a refund from my travel ins. Policy but haven’t heard anything yet. It’s been two weeks now. We were only in the outer banks for 15 hours before we were told to evacuate.

Very nice

This is a beautiful location. I was hoping for a better view of the ocean from the cabana, but it's a quick walk to get there. Be sure to read the entire message in VRBO - there's lots of information that slipped by me because I skimmed - my bad! Loved the few days we were there even with once full day of rain.

Weekend getaway

Came for a long weekend and was able to enjoy the sights and beach. The whole island is within 5 minutes each way of the place which is nice. Tons of small businesses. Would definitely recommend staying here

Peaceful beach cabana

The cabana was so cute and peaceful. If you have a lifted truck you will not fit under the cabana but there were a few spots to park which worked out. The sun deck had a perfect view of the beach and it was a very short walk to the beach. The location was perfectly placed between hatteras village and Frisco.I would highly recommend this adorable cabana.

Quick getaway

We enjoyed our stay however when we did encounter an issue (the AC stopped working on our last day) We could not get in touch with host. I left two messages and called once and was never contacted. We left a note for the cleaners so that hopefully it would get to the host and the issue could be fixed prior to new renters coming in.

Cabana Stay

We have a wonderful week staying in Log Shaker of Salt. The good far outweighed the bad. Minor bads: The Two large stove burners didn’t work, CD player didn’t work “nocd” code for multiple disks. No problem for us, as we don’t usually watch TV on vacation. They can use a high table on top deck for snacks and drinks while watching the sunset. Overall fine vacation. with Netflix and Prime.
