The lushly landscaped grounds are immaculately maintained and adorned with red ginger and red palms. At dusk, every evening, the magical twinkling tiki lights are lit and reflect on the Koi ponds through-out the property. Papakea's location is as good as it gets! Within minutes, an easy walk to Duke's, shopping center, Farmers Market, coffee shops, sandy beaches, snorkeling and surfing.

CONSTRUCTION NOTICE: Papakea Building L will be under Interior Renovation starting April 16, 2026, to May 14, 2026. We would like to advise that there may be construction noise or disruption during that 4-week period.

Canal Repair Project Notice:
Papakea Resort will undergo a canal repair project from December 17, 2025 through mid-September 2026. Work will take place Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Guests may experience significant construction noise during these hours. Equipment and materials will be staged along the canal, resulting in limited parking in some areas. Holiday work is not expected.
We appreciate your understanding as the resort completes this necessary improvement project.

BEACHES & CRITTERS: The beach size in Hawaii varies month to month due to weather, heavy surf, strong currents, and tides. Due to Maui's rural setting, you may experience the occasional rooster, as well as harmless geckos. Geckos are friendly, eat insects, and are considered good luck in Hawaii. Please don't kill them. Although the HOA schedules regular professional pest control services, pests such as ants, roaches and rodents simply cannot be completely controlled in the tropics. Maui is in a tropical climate. If our guest spot more than the normal expected pests, we always make our best efforts to contact and work with the HOA to minimize your interactions with these pests. Any contact with such pests within or outside the unit does not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustment.
**We make no guarantee that properties adjacent to the Unit will be free from disturbances, including but not limited to noise or inconvenience from construction, traffic or other guests or neighbors. Any such disturbance shall not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustment. By booking your stay with us, you accept that Host is not liable for any inconveniences arising from any temporary defect or stoppage in supply of water, electricity, air conditioning or plumbing that is beyond their control. Host is not liable for any loss or damage to Tenants' personal property caused by weather conditions, natural disasters, or other events beyond their control. The unit was very clean, updated, and had everything we needed. Hosts had plenty of kitchen utensils, pans, and necessary baking sheets for the outdoor grill. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was great with the double vanity and overall we would absolutely rent again. Very grateful for our time there.

. The view and comfort from the lanai was amazing. We already miss the sound of the pounding of the waves. Leaving the sliding glass door opened every night, we slept soundly to the waves on the most comfortable mattress ever

We absolutely loved our stay. The condo is exactly as described. The view from the lanai is unbelievable!! The sunsets are stunning. You are so close to the water. Close to the beach. We stayed at Papakea many times but never direct ocean front. Loved watching the sunsets from the lanai in the evening. The unit is very comfortable and very well appointed with the exception of a safe. We managed without. Will definitely be going back. Thank you for sharing your experience/home with us.
