You will find all the comforts of home! The main level has a kitchen, bedroom, full bathroom, sitting area, dining area and living room with a smart TV. The upstairs has a bedroom, full bathroom and den with a TV with cable and a reading nook.

The private and spacious backyard has a firepit ring with comfortable seating!

We spent two days at the cottage, and when we weren’t out touring the town and local shops, we were relaxing on the fantastic screened in porch. Hearing the babbling waters of the nearby creek made the time even more enjoyable. The house was well supplied and very spacious. It was also clean and comfortable - all we could ask for. If we’re ever in the area again, we’d definitely want to stay again.

Mountain Cottage Stay

The house is located in a great location super close to Chimney Rock and a reasonable drive to Asheville. The kitchen was fully stocked and the house was very comfortable with a lovely backyard space. You can also sit on the front porch and listen to the nearby river which was a great touch. Recommend for a peaceful and convenient stay!

Great for a weekend away

This house is a little quirky with many seating areas for only two beds, but it was incredibly clean. The screened in porch is beautiful and we didn’t miss eith of the World Series games this weekend with the great living room set up. Great bedding and towels, too!

A beautiful home

We weren’t expecting the home to be as nice as it is in the pictures as we’ve had some experiences being catfished by other rental sites before. But let me tell you, the house is perfect. Cute from top to bottom and the backyard is immaculate. They even worked with us to accommodate a last minute request and really made our weekend in the mountains that much better. 5/5 if you are looking for a quaint place to stay, this is it.

Everything you could want in a vacation property!

This is a spacious and well maintained house in an excellent location. The perfect mix of country/mountain charm and modern conveniences. The comfortable screened in porch made even a rainy day memorable. Close to all the restaurants and attractions that the Chimney Rock/Lake Lure area has to offer. Simple check in and out. Great for a Girl’s Getaway!

My girlfriends and I loved staying at this home. Erin was incredibly responsive and the screened-in porch is to die for! Make sure you’re aware that only the upstairs has central air!

Peaceful Retreat

Peaceful, quite and cozy. Felt just like staying in a friend’s home. Hands down the large screened in porch is the star. Nothing better then sitting there listing to the river flow by. Would stay there again.

Great weekend at the Laurel Cottage in Bat Cave NC

This is a beautifully upgraded and maintained property in Bat Cave NC. The kitchen is very well stocked, the cottage has a large living and dining area, and the bathrooms are very nicely upgraded. The property is near Lake Lure and Chimney Rock Park. We had a wonderful weekend.

Great home and wonderful location!

We loved our 3 night stay. Spent the first day hiking all over Chimney Rock and then enjoyed wine tasting at Burnt Shirt Vineyard with a lovely view of the mountain. Went into Asheville the following day and made it home before dark. Would definitely recommend!

Great Find!

We had to change our plans at the last minute and feel fortunate to have found this jewel. It was a great place to call home for a short weekend away with longtime friends. The owner/property manager was very quick to respond to any of our questions and took care of anything we needed.

Great for peace and quiet.

This was a great little hide-away. My family and I took my elderly mother to the house with us. We spent the majority of our time on the screened in front porch just talking and reminiscing. The house was clean, in a peaceful, private location, but close enough to Asheville and other places for outings. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to get away and just relax and enjoy life for a time.
