The Space:

Welcome to our beautifully furnished 3-bedroom home, thoughtfully designed for comfort and relaxation.



The Allendale is equipped with 3 Bedrooms and sleeps a total of 5 guests! The home is fully equipped with a wide range of amenities and offers plenty of inviting spaces to unwind, whether you're gathering in the cozy living room, enjoying a meal in the dining area, or simply relaxing after a long day.



Whether you're staying for a weekend or an extended period, this space offers the comfort and flexibility to feel right at home.

Guests will have to access to their home and all the residential amenities

Standard check-in time is 3:00 PM and check-out is no later than 10:00 AM. £15 per hour for late check-out, subject to availability. Maximum 12pm.

Located just a short drive from the market town of Hexham, guests can enjoy easy access to additional shopping, dining, and cultural attractions while still enjoying the calm and scenic backdrop of the countryside. Whether you're here for a relaxing retreat or an outdoor adventure, Allendale offers a truly unique and authentic Northumberland experience.



Getting Around:

By Car

Distance & Drive Time: Approximately 11 miles west of Hexham, about a 20–25-minute drive through scenic Northumberland countryside

From Newcastle: The journey takes around 50–60 minutes depending on traffic.



By Bus | Public Transport

Route: The Go North East 688 bus runs between Hexham (via Hexham Bus Station or Police Station) and Allendale Town, passing through Langley, Catton, Sinderhope, and Allenheads

Frequency: Services generally operate every ~2–4 hours Monday–Saturday, with no service on Sundays or bank holidays.

Journey Time: Around 24–30 minutes from Hexham to Allendale Town



By Train / Bus Transfer

There is no active train station directly in Allendale (the former station closed in 1930)

Nearest main station is Hexham Railway Station, about 8 miles away

From Hexham, you can catch the 688 bus to Allendale Town for a combined journey of around 45–60 minutes.



By Taxi or Rideshare

Uber operates in Allendale and throughout the region; fare estimates can be checked in the app for your destination

Local taxi options such as Langley Taxis are available; for example, trips from Hexham typically cost around £18–20 and take about 18–20 minutes



Other Things to Note:

- NO SMOKING INSIDE: We kindly request that smoking be avoided inside the premises. Any indication of smoking will incur a fee of £300 for odor removal, duct cleaning, and furniture cleaning. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.



- We do require a separate short term rental agreement to be signed directly with us and a pre-arrival form filled prior to your stay.



- LOST KEYS: If keys are lost, a £100 replacement fee is required.



At Vacant Nests, we’re dedicated to ensuring our property is protected throughout every guest stay. To provide peace of mind for both owners and guests, we require all guests to either have a £400 fully refundable security deposit hold placed on their account or purchase a £40 one-time Accidental Damage Waiver, which covers up to £500 of accidental damage during the stay.

Guest will have access to the host via the booking platform and in emergencies the host will call.
