Private Apartment in Historical Downtown Hillsdale
Two floor apartment with plenty of room for a large family or two families traveling together. Two separate rooms with queen sized beds that sleep two adults each, a third bedroom with a single bed, and a fourth bedroom with a children's room that sleeps three in a bunk bed with pull out trundle. There is a full living room, dining room and kitchen. Conveniently located in the middle of downtown Hillsdale with walkability to restaurants, coffee houses, churches and parks. Six blocks from Hillsdale College.
Charming older home in a wonderful location. Walk to coffee shops and Farmers Market. Walk to Hillsdale College. We attended a wedding at Hillsdale College and the two bedroom up/ down was perfect for two couples with children. The host is very responsive and provided a fruit bowl and breakfast food. There was no noise complaints/footsteps complaints from the part of family staying on the lower level. Also, the town is really quiet at night, so donât worry about city noise in this downtown location
Sun filled living room and kitchen. Plenty of room to relax and spread out. Walking distance to eateries. A perfect location for families visiting Hillsdale College.
We enjoyed our stay. Heather was quick to reply to any need. Beds are comfy and it was as advertised. We enjoyed walking to coffe in the mornings and dinner at night. Would stay here again.Note - lots of stairs which is not a problem for us, but if you have mobility isdues, it maybe a consideratiom
Perfect location! We were in town to check out Hillsdale College. Heather was very responsive and the whole experience could not have been easier. Very cool reno of the 2nd/3rd floors of an historic building in "downtown" Hillsdale.
It's a very nice place to stay, but the layout is a bit odd. You must be able to mount all the steep stairs to get to the kitchen. One of our party was barely able to manage steps so we did not use the kitchen for cooking. If you have small children and plan to use the bedroom with kids room attached, be aware the kids' room has free access to the kitchen and the stairs. It would be helpful if there were more surfaces for setting things and more storage or hooks.
Very clean, very nice location, very nicely decorated.
The apartment was exactly as advertised and Heather was very responsive and communicative before, during and after our stay. The location is great if you are attending events at the college and I highly recommend staying there!
Had everything we needed, close to Hillsdale College, walking distance to a decent restaurant and cocktails, well decorated and clean. My only cautions are two flights of stairs and the old wood floors are creaky so light sleeper will definitely be woken up when others are moving around the place.
The building was clean and decorated nicely. A bathroom on each floor was nice. Host was quick to answer questions! We were only here to sleep, as our family and friends were at a house on Sand Lake.
Such a comfortable, clean property! Heather was a great host! Made sure to answer quickly with any questions we had and even made sure the refrigerator was stocked with water and breakfast food. If we are ever in the area again we would definitely stay at this property again.
We visited Hillsdale for a family reunion taking place in Osseo and stayed at this apartment for 5 nights. Our stay was very pleasant and the place was very nice and comfortable. The owner had stocked the fridge with bottled water and a little food that made the stay even nicer. My wife and I had reserved the place due to the location and amenities but it was too much space for just us two with 4 bedrooms. An out of state family with two small children stayed with us a couple of the nights and the layout could not have been more perfect. The 4th bedroom in the upstairs has child bunkbeds with a master bedroom next door and the family took this space while my wife and I stayed down one floor on the main floor. They had their privacy and we had ours. The main entry is a private entrance on the street level with a common hallway going up to the main floor of the apartment (2nd floor of building) and then the stairway continues up to the top floor (3rd floor of building). On the main floor, you have a bathroom, a living room, a bedroom with a twin bed and a bedroom with a queen bed. All room are separated from each other by doors and an AC unit cools them all. Access to a washer and dryer is on this floor. On the top floor, the apartment has a master bedroom with a Queen bed and AC separated by French doors from the kids room with the bunkbeds and then a kitchen, dining room, and bath #2. There were even some toys and books for the kids. It was just perfect and a lovely stay!
Loved the location, as walked to restaurants, walked to farmers market at courthouse. We were there for a family wedding at Hillsdale College. Owner/Heather was very nice and helpful with questions. Wonderful place for family to stay!
Heather's place was meant to be for several of us, but at the last minute it was just 4 adults, and that was fine - we each had our own level to "live" on - and shared the kitchen upstairs. If you have more than 4 people it gets cozy real quick - especially for eating and bathrooms, but the location was great for attending Hillsdale College graduation. Be ready for steep stairs, and some loud street noise here and there. Overall, it's hard to find good options close to campus, and if you're up for the stairs, and need a little larger space to accommodate more than mom and dad give this place a look!
Did a random two-night getaway here with five people. We loved the location - right in the walkable heart of historic Hillsdale - and the apartment itself was great fun to stay in: two whole floors, well-stocked pantry, comfortable beds, fun decor. Beware if you canât manage stairs - there are two steep staircases here! The building is also old and a little quirky, but we loved it.
Heather has the biggest heart in the Vrbo network! We left Nashville and headed to Hillsdale with confidence my best friend of 25 years was stable after heart surgery. Only 60 miles north of town we got the call from his wife that he had passed away in the night. We, of course, turned around and headed there to be with her. Subsequently, Heather, in her gracious and empathetic spirit, told us not to worry about our six-month property reservation, we were where we needed to be. That proved to be true and we thank her for her understanding and support during one of the worst experiences of my life.
The apartment was perfect for our stay for a wedding. Everything was clean (and decorated for Christmas đ) and the owners very accommodating and helpful. Would totally stay here again.
We had family stay here for a wedding. The place was clean and perfectly located to all of downtown Hillsdaleâs amenities. We were very pleased overall!
