When I rented the room through Expedia I was told there was staff at the front desk between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. and check in time was 4:00 p.m. On my way to Hilton Head I got a text from 210 area code saying that I had to do an online check-in because nobody was working at the front desk. I received a another text saying to do an online check-in looking for my credit card information too. I was told not to give my credit card information out to third parties. When I arrived at the hotel there was nobody in the office or no staff to be found. I sent texts back to the hotel asking for my room number and entry code and was told I wouldn't receive it until I gave my credit card information out. At this point I felt like I was being held hostage just to check in by giving my credit card to an attachment to a text. It's been my worst experience yet on renting rooms regularly on Expedia. The hotel was also rated as good with an 8 out of 10 rating I would give the hotel no more than a four or five out of 10 as a rating. Very disappointed with my stay there and wanting to make sure there's no miscellaneous charges on my credit card!.
