"We really enjoyed our stay at this townhome. It has been beautifully redone. The kitchen is well stocked. There is plenty of seating in the living room that overlooks an inlet. The bedrooms are spacious with very comfortable beds. We had access to the dock and were able to take our kayaks out every day. In addition, we were within walking distance to the Salty Dog and the beach was right across the street. And we were able to take our fur baby!! Sea Pines is one of my most favorite places in HHI. Biking on the beautiful property is so enjoyable. I highly recommend this townhome."

We love when our guests are so happy with 1598 Port Villa and many return each year, considering this their HHI vacation home away from home. You can enjoy this beautiful villa that comfortably accommodates six, too!

This spacious 3-bedroom, 3-bath Port Villa townhouse has a fabulous view of Braddock Cove. The light-filled first floor features a newly renovated kitchen which now opens into the spacious living room and dining room. The first floor also has a guest bedroom with twin beds and full bath. The primary bedroom has a king size bed with a newly renovated en-suite bathroom and is located on the 2nd level. There is another twin bedroom on the second floor with a full bath.

Unique to the Port Villas, the boat dock is available for your boat, kayak or wave runner. This is a superb location for water sports, tennis or biking enthusiasts. Conveniently located near the South Beach Marina Village, you will find dining, shopping and seasonal live music at the popular Salty Dog. The ocean beach is located across the street.

PROPERTY SPECIFIC DETAILS:

* Sea Pines is a gated community in which every vehicle must have a gate pass for entry. One gate pass is included with your reservation at the time of booking. If you require additional passes, please request the exact number needed to ensure they are prepared in advance. Each pass has a fee of $17. All gate passes must be picked up at the host2coast office prior to entry.
* The South Beach Marina Pool is open seasonally from June through August. Please note that pool access is not included with your stay. Guests who wish to use the pool must purchase a pass directly from South Beach Pool at least a week in advance to their stay. For current rates and details, please visit their official website.
* Dog Friendly - 2 dog max. $200 non-refundable fee for first dog, with an additional $100 for each extra dog. Dogs are not permitted on the furniture and must be crated if left alone. Please do not leave furry friends alone outside, as we have wildlife that they should not encounter.
* Please be advised that there is ongoing construction at South Beach Marina for the foreseeable future. Some shops remain open, including The Salty Dog.

Nice place with a couple of hiccups

We enjoyed this location near South Beach, a ten minute walk away. The beach's beauty is captivating, though high tide submerges it almost entirely, so plan your beach time during lower tide. Access to the beach is only available by foot. The map in the villa is not entirely clear. Follow the map across the road; look for the yellow fire hydrant-the path is beside it. The villa's interior is updated, newer looking floors, and a well-equipped kitchen. The king bed is very hard/firm but the twin beds are comfortable. Sewage backed up into the downstairs bathtub our last night, and we were told to just close the door and not use any water. The small yard was nice for our two dogs. FYI- the villas are very close together. The neighbors ran back and forth through our yard screaming throughout the stay with little regard to us or our dogs enjoying the space. Our check-out experience was jarring as a male (cleaner) entered without knocking and with an attitude, almost letting our dogs out, and well over and hour before check out time. The thermostat is set to 76 overnight and every night we were woken up due to being uncomfortable. We communicated with the office a few times with questions and only the last message about sewage received a response. A little disappointing when we had an emergency car repair and had hoped for a friendly recommendation for a shop. We enjoyed most of our stay and loved the South Beach!

Great Location

The Villa is located in a great spot and the beach access although a bit hard to find was awesome once we found it. The Villa is older as most are in HH but had a nice remolded kitchen and a nice water view of the bay inlet. Overall it was a nice vacation villa in a great location in Sea Pines. The bed in the Master bedroom needs an upgrade as it is not comfortable and a bit rough to sleep in, actually it was awful! The disappointing and frustrating part was the owners lack of respect for us a tenant and complete ignorance to our privacy and purpose of being on vacation. On Wednesday morning we got a knock on the door and a tree contractor was there advising that they were doing work and we would have limited access to the Villa. Thursday morning we were awoken by a stump grinder at the front window and then 30 minutes later a pressure washer which when I opened the door I got a face full of dirt and water. There was a guy on the back deck with a hose spraying the deck and windows so there went our privacy so we left. When we returned the strong smell of bleach took our breath away and not knowing where it was from we entered the villa. We had drops fall on us and once in the villa it was discovered to be bleach which ruined my wife's new dress and gave me an acid burn. We contacted the host however they stated they were sorry but did not know work was being done and would contact the owner. Our vacation was ruined at that point.

New Years at Port Villa

1598 Port Villa has a beautiful view of the inlet and marsh through 2 story glass windows. There is a porch and access to the backyard. The property has natural and grass areas that were perfect for walking our dog. Port Villa is secluded but walking distance to restaurants, shopping and the beach.

Terrific spot in South Beach

Great place. Nice and open feel on first floor. Had a couple minor issues and the property management folks fixed within hours. Easy walk to beach and Salty Dog/marina. Only suggestion is to leave directions on how TVs work (live tv, netflix, etc.). Would stay here again!

The condo was really clean and the kitchen had everything that was needed. The living room sectional was so roomy and comfortable. Bring a fishing pole and fish of out the backyard. Walks on the beach were great!

Great Property

Great location close to the beach and amenities of South Beach. This unit is nicely updated with a beautiful kitchen and three modern baths. The canal view from the rear of the property is outstanding. Basically, everything you could want for your visit to HHI.

Nice Sea Estuary

The original listing we chose had to be replaced because the property renovation had not been completed. The property manager found another property with an even better view, and granted us some exceptions, and we are grateful for that. We saw lots of wildlife in the salt marsh - pelicans, dolphins, a sea otter, cormorants, ducks, all of which we enjoyed. Unfortunately, we lost a day to unannounced maintenance on the exterior of our property. Because it was unannounced, we didn’t feel comfortable leaving (they might have entered without our permission). But, we understand the need for maintenance and that this is the time of year for maintenance. We appreciate what the property managers did to insure everything went relatively well, and understand how it is difficult to find and keep quality maintenance workers in a reliable schedule. We will be sure to ask about maintenance before booking a property in the future. (And, we would recommend this property to friends).

Nice location

This property is in a nice location with short walk to beach. I wish there had been a way to turn the ceiling fan on a higher setting and it gets really warm upstairs. The landing at the top of stairs was really warm and the bedrooms upstairs stayed warm as well. I do suggest the owners try fixing that and if you are a renter then you need to take fans for the rooms.

Excellent location and views

Great location with fishing, boating and wildlife viewing out the back door. Very close to the beach, pool, tennis and the Salty Dog Cafe. Lots to do for our family of 5 adults. Loved the remodeled kitchen and master bath. Lovely sunset dinners on back porch. A few minor issues, but property manager responded promptly and graciously.

My family and I really enjoyed the time at this condo. The updated kitchen and bathroom were especially nice. We enjoyed the deck all day and absolutely loved the sunshine pouring in through the big windows. The beds and extra bedrooms need updated. If you aren’t picky about your sleeping space & want a good location, you’ve found your place! It was an amazing two weeks and I'd definitely rent this condo again. Thank you!!!

Perfect location and pet friendly!

Loved our time here. Rented this place to bring my adult children and their significant others together for a much needed getaway. We loved the convenience of dock for our paddle boards and kayaks. The inside was so nicely laid out to maximize the views of the sound and watching the changing tides and birds never grew old. So convenient to the beach and the tennis. I would rent again in a heartbeat!

Location was great. Views were wonderful. Kitchen was not well equipped . Bedrooms and baths were outdated and tired... beds very uncomfortable. Difficult to adequately adjust air... hot upstairs for sleeping. Lighting in kitchen was blinding... very bright light bulbs and no way to adjust... need dimmer switches

Great view, location!

We really enjoyed our stay. The updated kitchen and living area were very nice and the living area furniture was very comfortable! The master bathroom was also updated and the shower was great! Loved having our morning coffee on the patio and it was a huge bonus we could bring our dog with us! Great property!

Nice location

Nice view of the water from the living room. Great fishing opportunity right out the back door. This is a no frills property that is quiet and an easy walk to tennis courts, South Beach shops and restaurants and all water activities. Nice stay!

Beautiful setting, filthy property

We've been vacationing in Sea Pines for 25+ years. We wanted to take our 10lb little dog, so veared off our usual path of staying in a "better property"; and chose the Port Villas in South Beach. The location was perfect- right on the lagoon and covered with pines and spanish moss. The villa, however, was absolutely filthy. Not just dirty, but old dirty, with stained tubs and toilets, old mold in the showers and nasty nasty carpet. We wore socks the entire time and i cleaned the showers with clorox before use. A huge disappointment and disappointed in the South Beach rental management company as well. We are repeat customers (about 15 times over with them) and didn't expect this type of property to be offered.... I am also very disappointed that in the age of "loving pets", we had to chose this type of property to accommodate our little dog... she is very well behaved and small. I'd understand not wanting a huge dog or puppy in a rental, but it's sad appropriate pets aren't considered in Sea Pines... Sea Pines needs to get with the program and update their properties or at least give an honest preview of their properties for rent; and offer more suitable properties which accommodate pets (reasonable pets). Most folks we know are staying in Palmetto Dunes... we may be next time as well.... which is a shame, because we love Sea Pines...

Excellent Location

The location of this rental is perfect. Dock access for SUP or Kayaking and only a short bike ride to the beach. Bathrooms and living room furniture however could use some updating.
