The first thing was that wonderful lady who checked me in. Didn’t get her name but a big shout out to her for positivity and friendliness. But after that the noise from a ac/heat unit was so noisy it made my resting terrible( because I didn’t get any). I did complain to evening person but I don’t even know if anything was done. Probably will not stay there next time I visit my grandson who is in the army.

Arrived at 3:07 and checked in (check in starts at 3). The parking lot was empty along with the lobby. Desk associated puts us on the third floor. Upon entering the room we find a dehumidifier plugged in. Also found workers completing an addition on the back half of the building directly under our window on floor two. As we aren’t ones to complain and it wasn’t bedtime we didn’t request a room change. I guess we should have, as the next morning on Saturday the construction crew started promptly sometime before 8am, so we are awoken by banging and machine noises. Then we notice the floor in front of the ac system has soaked the floor and one of our suitcases is on the floor and wet now (as the area was easily (3x5 ft). Upon going down to the desk to complain about to noise and the soaking wet floor we are met with disregard. No real apology is given. No offer made to change our room. Not even a discount or credit for the inconvenience. The fact we weren’t even offered another room was crazy. So we had to check out and find new lodging. Luckily the area has many other options. All that to say that we most likely will never stay in another Hampton Inn and maybe when associates check people in they shouldn’t place them in rooms they know are unacceptable. The fact a dehumidifier was in the room means they recognize this is an ongoing issue. Additionally, guests should be notified when booking that the hotel is under construction, this way they have the option to book elsewhere.

Although there was construction during my stay, the staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and nicely appointed; however, it was strange that I was asked by staff on two separate occasions if I had a floor lamp in my room. No floor lamp was ever placed in the room. Overall I had a pleasant stay and would book this property in the future.

The only reason I gave a four on the condition is because they are doing upgrade work but the other parts absolutely clean and I cannot say enough about how kind and friendly the staff were. I would definitely stay there again. The young fellow that was in charge of the breakfast and food area was absolutely charming and good southern hospitality just loved it.!
