The Neighbourhood


Explore the scenic walking and cycling trails that run along the eastern shore of the Derwent River. These trails offer stunning waterfront views and are perfect for outdoor enthusiasts.
Tasmania is known for its wine, and you can find several vineyards and wineries in the nearby Coal River Valley and the Tasman Peninsula. Take a wine tour and sample some of the region's finest wines.
Enjoy a relaxing day at Bellerive Beach, located just a short drive from Tranmere. It's a lovely spot for swimming, picnicking, and taking in the views of the river and the city.
Take the scenic ferry over from Hobart to the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA)


There are great public transport links around this property, and youre welcome to bring your own car. If you don't have a car we recommend a number of car-sharing apps such as Uber and Taxify.

Maintenance & Booking Policy Note:

We are committed to providing efficient maintenance services. However, please be aware that we can only attend to maintenance issues during regular work hours. Callouts cannot be confirmed on weekends (Fridays 4 pm - Monday 10 am) and public holidays, as well as outside work hours (after 4:00 pm - before 9 am, Monday-Friday). We understand the importance of prompt repairs and will respond to all requests within 24 hours, arranging tradespeople during work hours.

Our deposit policy requires a 50% payment at the time of booking, and credit card transactions will have a non-refundable fee of 3.5%.

The security bond will only be held through pre-authorization 1-2 days before arrival. Depending on the property's size, this pre-authorization hold will range from $500 to $2,000 and is required 1 day prior to arrival. Selected properties may request guests' IDs for verification.

To avoid credit card fees, guests can opt for bank transfers for payment. Please inform the host in advance if you will use this payment method.
