Excellent place to stay in Hokitika! The entire place was spotless and tastefully decorated. We would have loved to stay for more than a night but unfortunately were on a tight schedule. Communication with the host was easy and response to questions were quick. Location is central and close to some really good restaurants. We have never stayed at such a spotlessly clean place ever before and we have stayed at quite a few luxury properties. Would highly recommend this place.

The firehouse smartly used firefighting equipment to decorate the property and apartments inside. Laundry is available to all who stay there. Walked one block to several fine dining options. Totally recommend this property to anyone traveling to/through Hokitika.

The owners have created a fantastic product with the Fire Station and provided a great base for our activities around Hokitika incl bike riding and trips to the Glaciers, Hok Gorge and Lake Kaniere.
