The Roost at The Southerner

Adorable pet-friendly cottage within walking distance to downtown Saugatuck and all it has to offer. Main room offers a gas fireplace, TV and full kitchen with a pull-out loveseat and space to dine. Queen bed in bedroom, ensuite bath with shower and laundry room. A/C, ceiling fans & shady setting. Private parking and outdoor garden area. Perfect stay for a couple + pets. Be sure to take advantage of the popular restaurant The Southerner right next door. The restaurant can be quite busy in the summer so there's fantastic people watching from your private patio but it ends service at 10pm so no late night noise or commotion.

The property was very ready for us in all phases, clean, well stocked on linens, kitchenware, thoughtful decor, very good storage, use of space.The appropriately sized gas fireplace is amazing if you like to keep it cool in the bedroom, warm in the main area.

We had an amazing stay. The listing was very accurate. We found the Roost to be very warm, welcoming and well outfitted, there was everything we needed and we didnt need anything while we were there. Amy was very welcoming and shared some resources with us before coming which we took advantage of and appreciated. We also really loved the food at the Southerner - my husband said it was the best fried chicken he'd ever had! We felt rested, everything was comfortable and location was perfect. We were able to walk downtown, a very short drive to the nature preserves and hiking. This is a great little hidden gem and we really appreciated being able to bring our dog with us. Thank you again Amy! We hope to return and would absolutely stay here again.

The Roost was Perfect! Clean, cozy and just a few blocks from town so easy walking on sidewalks to get to town. I would stay at The Roost again and would highly recommend it to a couple traveling to this area. The cottage was exactly as described in the listing and we had everything we needed.

Such a happy place! We’ve been visiting Saugatuck for years and love it here. We had such a wonderful stay at the Roost last month we just had to come back for a last-minute, end of summer short stay (Thanks Amy!). We’ve stayed at other pup friendly places but none have been as perfect. The outside is cute, well landscaped with comfortable sitting areas for morning coffee and glowing string lights welcoming us back after an evening in town.The interior is smartly designed, nicely furnished, with essentials stocked. We appreciate the washer/dryer convenience and so important
 the cottage is always well cleaned and maintained. We’re glad to share we have found our go-to home away from home here in Saugatuck, at the Roost. Looking forward to many good times ahead!
