Coach House Cottage, Weybourne, Norfolk
Coach House Cottage is a small bijou, semi-detached cottage offering lovely accommodation for two in the pretty coastal village of Weybourne, set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Only a short stroll to Weybourne's shingle beach, favoured by fishermen, and a couple of minutes' walk to the ever popular Ship Inn and fantastically-stocked local shop, you are in the ideal spot for walking the Norfolk Coastal Path and discovering all that this part of Norfolk has to offer.
With two courtyards, front and back, this little pad offers you a choice of where to sit for your morning coffee and croissant while you plan your day. A cosy, open-plan living area with underfloor heating consists of a well-equipped compact kitchen/ diner with a sit-up island and a sitting room with Smart television and french doors to the enclosed, rear, south-west facing courtyard (ideal for keeping your four legged friend safe, while you relax with a glass in hand as the sun goes down!) On the first floor is the bedroom, with a double bed. There is a designated parking space for one car.
Situated just a few minutes' walk away from the heart of the village, with beautiful walks on your door step, Coach House Cottage is very well-placed to explore. With pretty seaside villages to the east and west and the Coasthopper bus service running through the village throughout the year, plus the wonderful, Edwardian Weybourne train station, linking you to Holt and Sheringham (and therefore beyond), you can leave the car, kick back and really settle in to the relaxed North Norfolk pace of life.
Additional Information: One small well-behaved dog welcome (small additional charge). Synthetic/ feather bedding provided. The coffee machine uses Nespresso pods - please bring your own. Children over the age of 12 welcome.
Overall a very well kept and presented cottage. The location is excellent and served as a great base to travel around the area. The local shop is a delight, with very welcoming and friendly staff, and the Ship Inn serves lovely food albeit being quite expensive for what it is. The only real negatives were the lack of space around the seating area in the cottage which made meals impractical and uncomfortable, and the parking space which is tiny and best suited to smaller cars only.
Property was neat and tidy although a little on the small side, perhaps a bit too bijou. TV gave trouble and this was diagnosed as aerial problems, watching it even after engineerâs visit was a bit hit and miss.
The shower was excellent, the bed was comfortable and the inclusion of an Alexa was good.
The kitchen area was very small, only enough room for one person.
Parking was easy and convenient.
All-in-all a pleasant enough place to stay, if a little on the expensive side for the facilities provided.
Located in the centre of Weybourne and near the excellent Ship inn the cottage was perfect for two of us and our dog. Within easy driving distance of Holkham sands, salt marshes for bird spotting, and good beaches.

Small but lovelyâŠ
This cottage is v tiny - but well kitted out for 2 people with one small dog. We are of normal body shape so we were fine in the tiny bathroom and kitchen. If you are over weight (maybe a woman over a size 18) or have any arthritic problems or a large dog this cottage wouldnât be for you. Getting in and out of the bathroom facilities would be a challenge. BUT at size 12 and 5â3â I loved it!! Weâll be back.

An early spring break
We had an enjoyable holiday in coach house cottage. It was very clean.very comfortable bed.Missed a freezer/ice box.A bit chilly in the evenings as we couldn't get the radiator to work.Didnt want to turn the underfloor heating up too much as it was making our dog pant.
The cottage was very handy for the coastal hopper which we made good use of.

First time stay in Weybourne and booking with Norfolk Hideaways
Generally very happy with the booking process of the holiday and the location/condition of the property. There are a few observations that the owner may wish to consider 1) the double bed was very comfortable but was on the small side 2) the bedroom window blind let in a lot of light, would prefer either a blackout blind or curtains 3) the underfloor heating in the hallway and lounge worked well 4) we were unable to get any hot water out of the bathroom sink tap 5) for those bringing food with them with the intention of eating in storage would be a problem as there are no cupboards.
The location is excellent - easy access to the Weybourne- Salthouse walk and by using the Coastal Hopper bus (CH1) walks further afield including Stiffkey to Wells. Itâs also good if you are a National Trust member wishing to visit Sheringham Park or Felbrigg Hall.
We ate at The Ship Inn at Weybourne which is excellent. The Dun Cow at Salthouse is great for fish and chips. The Village Stores in Weybourne provides excellent sandwiches/ submarine rolls.
Google maps directed us to the wrong location - the property is on the right as you head towards Sheringham - good reserved parking.

Cosy cottage good location
Cosy cottage good location. Ship pub a few minutes away great food. Plenty of walks and not far from the beach.
We enjoyed our stay at Coach House Cottage and found Norfolk Hideaways professional and efficient.
Everything worked well with the following observations:
Hot water runs very slowly and needs to be rectified
Outside light does not work
There is no bottle opener or cork screw
There is no tin opener

Lovely autumn break
Enjoyable stay in Coach House Cottage at the end of September with our dog. Ten minutes walk to the coast and lovely walks around and about including over to Sheringham and getting the Poppy Line train back to Weybourne station. We found the area quite dog friendly which was lovely, with cafes etc happy to accept a well behaved dog on the premises - especially useful with the changing weather! An added bonus for us was that for four nights we were treated to a wonderful display of the Milky Way as Weybourne is in the Dark Skies area.
The Ship Inn - 2 minutes walk away - does a fabulous Sunday lunch but you need to book in advance....even before you arrive! Our stay was end of September/early October! Evening meals are also served some evenings - again booking essential. The village shop opposite is well stocked and also serves teas/coffees/ breakfast and snacks.

A week in a sweet coach house
We had a pleasant week and could walk down to a pebbly beach. There were good walks in the local area and access to various attractions and centres from the cottage was simple. We went to Holt, Sherborne, Blakeney , Houghton Hall and Sandringham for Jools concert.
Itâs a long long way from Cheshire (6 hours) so we broke the journey as the roads are certainly not fast in Norfolk. The cottage was very comfortable. It was a surprise to find no ice available and I couldnât find a bottle opener but the cottage otherwise is very nicely appointed and equipped. Next door owner very friendly and helpful and he gave us ice as did the pub. You must book the pub well in advance in high season . We arrived on Friday of Bank Holiday w/e but the first booking was Thursday so plan ahead. Fabulous little shop in the village. The cottageâs Parking spot is very welcome as thereâs nowhere else near by to leave a car.
The owner was very responsive and helpful . We had a pleasant time in a beautiful part of the world .
