Whimsical apartment completely renovated. Located in the walled area of the city, with great gastronomic and cultural offer. It is a second floor in a building dating from the early twentieth century. It consists of 70 m2 distributed in fully equipped kitchen with balcony overlooking the Plaza del Obispo, bathroom, living room with a sofa bed and balcony overlooking the Calle Mayor, room with double bed and another room with a trundle bed ( 2 units). Linens and towels included.

L appartement est trÚs bien situé, propreté irréprochable, trÚs bien équipé. Alvaro est trÚs sympathique. Petit bémol sur la deuxiÚme chambre plutÎt petite, le 4eme couchage est plus un couchage d appoint. Bon séjour pour nous!

Parfait pour visiter le pays basque espagnol

Nous cherchions un endroit pour visiter le pays basque sans ĂȘtre pris dans le tourbillon d'une grande ville car nous Ă©tions en voiture. Hondarrabie et l'appartement d'Alvaro sont parfaits. Il est localisĂ© dans une rue trĂšs calme et trĂšs typique. A pied, on peut aller se promener ou Ă  la plage et le soir goĂ»ter Ă  la vie espagnole, avec les apĂ©ros et les tapas ou pintchos. A 5mn de l'appartement, nous avons pris le bus (E21, toutes les heures) pour 2,55€ en direction de Donastia (Saint SĂ©bastien). Nous y avons passĂ© le journĂ©e sans le soucis de se garer. Si vous arrivez en voiture, il est possible de se garer gratuitement Ă  200m de l'appartement d'Alvaro. L'appartement est parfait mais je ne dis rien car tout est dans les photos. Du goĂ»t, de l'attention et un cadre superbe ! Je n'en dis pas plus pour vous laisser dĂ©couvrir... Et je ne parle pas d'Alvaro, un hĂŽte parfait et galant. Je recommande et reviendrais volontiers !

Appartement situé en plein centre historique , rénové avec gout , donnant sur une trÚs belle rue, au calme absolu . L' équipement est complet et de qualité . Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans ce village qui est un des plus beaux de la cote basque . Des excellents restos et bar à tapas , des maisons basques magnifiques ,un agréable quartier maritime et une belle plage font de cet endroit un lieu de villégiature parfait . Alvaro et Birkite sont des hÎtes parfaits , aux petits soins pour vous rendre le séjour agréable , et en plus ils parlent bien français . Nous ne pouvons que recommander vivement cette location ou nous reviendrons avec plaisir

L'appartement était parfait, bien situé dans la vieille ville et rénové avec beaucoup de goût ! Spacious historical apt with great balcony

We loved our stay in Alvaro’s historic apartment! He was a great communicator from booking on, and took care of many extras for us. Free parking is very close. We knew the 2nd floor walk up would be hard with our luggage, so Alvaro met and helped us, and arranged for a taxi with a driver who did the same. The location is perfect and we easily walked all over, and were able to drive to other towns in Basque Spain and France. The apartment is nicely laid out, with a large living room and spacious kitchen. The shower is good and linens nice cotton. We appreciated the welcome Basque cider and coffee. The bedroom have hanging and folded space, making our stay easy. My favorite part has to be the front balcony with its cafe table and chairs. I loved morning coffee and evening wine and cheese with its magical view. We’d certainly return and truly appreciate Alvaro’s help and care!

Wonderful!

Our stay was wonderful. Upon arrival we were shown where to park and received assistance with our luggage and a short tour of the apartment. The apartment itself was very clean and perfect for our family. We loved the quiet location with wonderful cafes and restaurant minutes away. We would definitely stay here again for any return trips!

Gran rinconcito en Hondarribia

Nuestra primera experiencia en País Vasco fue afortunado tanto en alojamiento como en el lugar escogido, Hondarribia. La recepción y amabilidad del dueño fue ejemplar, personalizada, y el alojamiento en todos los aspectos supera el "10" (acogedor, limpio, cómodo, muy completo, buenísima ubicación,...) lo tiene todo. Surprise and Delight

Oh, the vagaries of making a quick booking under pressure, on the mobile app without prescription glasses! My Search was originally San Sebastian - in the Old Town. This certainly ticked the box for Old Town but in Hondarribia. What a delight! Charming property in an historic setting, newly refurbished, and our home from home for a long weekend - with the added bonus of neighbouring France just a short walk and ferry-ride away. Easy bus journey into San Sebastian - just ideal for our needs. Our Host Alvaro was attentive and generous - nothing was too much trouble.

Exceptional accomodation from an experience point of view right in the heart of the old town. The views from the apartment are beautiful and walking around the old town, you feel like you’ve stepped into an epic movie set with warmest, most authentic and friendly people. In the apartment everything was clean, comfortable and wonderfully appointed. Easy access to great dining, tapas and bars both local and into San Sebastian and/or the Basque side of France. I highly recommend Alvaro’s place and Hondarribia as a wonderful location-it exceeded all our expectations. We will be back!

Wonderful time in Hondaribbia

Alvaro's place is in an amazing location. Even without going into the town (which is walkable) , there are several bars and restaurants just a few steps away, including a lovely courtyard in which to have drinks and pintxos. The apartment is well equipped with everything we could have needed. The bed was very comfy. Alvaro was a wonderful communicator. At the beginning of our stay he met us in the carpark and showed us around the property and gave us tips on things to do. He was available for any questions we had throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend this property.

Wonderful stay in Hondarribia

Everything was perfect with our stay in Hondarribia. The apartment's location is great, with easy access to everything you might want to see in Hondarribia. Alvaro was great and he helped us with parking, making us comfortable at the home during check-in, and being always available to provide recommendations for things to do in the area. We would love to stay at the apartment again if the opportunity were to come up.

El apartamento es muy cuco y muy coqueto. Estå en plena entrada del casco histórico de Hondarribia. La casa estå rehabilitada y es muy genuina. Álvaro y Birkide son gentiles y muy atentos tanto en recomendaciones gastronómicas como en sitios para visitar y mercados para comprar. Hemos ido mi marido y mis hijos de 12 y 10 años y nos hemos alojado muy cómodamente. Super limpio, camas cómodas, la ducha magnífica y la calefacción funciona perfectamente. Una casa de 10. Sin duda la recomendamos. Un sueño de vacaciones.

Beautiful flat in a great location

Our stay in Hondarribia was our favorite. The flat is updated, very clean, and comfortable. We loved being right in the middle of this adorable town. Alvaro was also an amazing host and gave us restaurant and attraction recommendations. We really enjoyed taking the bus to San SebastiĂĄn for the day (20 minute ride). We already want to return for a second visit.

A Medieval Oasis

Alvaro was a wonderful host during our 5-night stay. Helped us with our luggage from our rendezvous point. Superb Apartment!

We stayed here for a week to explore the Basque country. It is a great place witg most sights a reasonable drive away. The apartment was superb and tastefully furnished. We found the whole place a great place to stay and the comfort of the apartment was great. The location is central and plenty to do within walking distance. We hired a car from the airport and there was a free car park 2 minutes away. Alvaro was extremely helpful and made sure we enjoyed our time there. I would thoroughly recommend the apartment!
