We had an amazing stay at Sophia’s chapel! We travelled with our 9 month old daughter and the spacious downstairs was a huge win for letting her explore and crawl around. Sophia very kindly brought us lots of her grandchildren’s toys to play with, including small trikes to trundle around the court yard. The main bed was comfortable and very large. Super to have a washing machine and dryer in the bathroom. It’s in a great position in Hoorn, just by the old harbour so a very short walk to the new harbour or the main square. Parking for the car was also really good, it is in a small car park off the courtyard. I think one other review mentions the steep staircase, it is quite steep by UK standards (I think more normal for Netherlands). Not a problem for us and it was useful to know what to expect. Thank you so much for an incredible stay and for being so welcoming.

Great Place in Super Location

My kids and I had a wonderful stay at the chapel. It was perfectly located between harbor and central square. Shopping and train station are pretty close too. Sofia was very helpful including giving us recommendations, bikes to borrow, and even a jacket to my daughter! Our stay was great and the town is beautiful!

Fabulous!

Superb location just minutes from great restaurants, beautiful harbour and only 30 minutes from Amsterdam on the train. Why would anyone not want to stay in Hoorn? Our hosts were always there if you wanted them to assist with anything, but never intrusive. Thank you Sophia for a wonderful week and an escape from city life, whilst within a major town.

A Truly Special Place

Our stay at this historic chapel in Hoorn was truly special. The property is beautifully furnished, combining the charm of its historic roots with modern comforts. The location is perfect, a short walking distance to the center of Hoorn, for easy access to local attractions, shops, restaurants, and the harbour. The kitchen is well-outfitted and the outdoor courtyard is a great space to relax and enjoy the beautiful garden. The beds were comfortable, ensuring a good night's rest after days spent exploring. The hosts were very accommodating, ensuring we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. We highly recommend this unique and comfortable chapel to anyone looking for a memorable experience in Hoorn.

I would like to take the time to talk about the amazing experience at our vacation rental. The owner Sophia met us when we arrived and explained everything about the house we needed. It was clean and cozy, and we enjoyed our stay. Sophia also shared her courtyard with us, and explained the historic of her home, and also answered any question about the city Hoorn. The house for exceeded our expections and we cannot say enough about Sophia who was generous with her time letting us know all the best spots in the city. Thank you again and we will definitely return. Chantal from Quebec Canada
