Baby Blue Cabana

Baby Blue Cabana is a cozy one-bedroom cabana for rent featuring an open floor plan with queen-size bed, bathroom, kitchenette, and covered veranda. The space is designed for relaxed tropical living and includes ceiling fans to keep the cabana comfortable with the natural Caribbean breezes.

Please note that Baby Blue Cabana does not have air conditioning. The cabana is designed to take advantage of the sea breeze and natural ventilation, offering a simple and authentic beachside experience.

Situated on our beachfront lot behind Blue Moon Cabana, Baby Blue Cabana enjoys sea views, has a separate walkway out to the public beach, and is just steps from the Caribbean Sea. Baby Blue Cabana is perfect for a single guest or couple looking for a relaxed beach getaway.

About Hopkins Village
Hopkins is a friendly and vibrant Garifuna village, and because Blue Moon Cabana and Baby Blue Cabana are located in the center of Hopkins, you can easily walk to restaurants, bars, shops, and tour operators. You can also rent a bicycle, motorbike, or golf cart to explore the village.

The cabanas are situated on a private beachfront lot, but as part of a traditional village community we do have neighbors nearby. Hopkins is known for its lively culture and welcoming atmosphere. Mornings often begin with the singing of tropical birds and the occasional rooster announcing the day. In the evenings—especially on weekends, holidays, and during local celebrations—nearby restaurants and bars may host music or gatherings that reflect the vibrant spirit of the village.

For many guests, this energy is part of the charm of staying in the heart of Hopkins. However, travelers seeking a very quiet, resort-style environment with amenities such as air conditioning and a more secluded setting may prefer accommodations on the north or south outskirts of the village. Very clean, private, and cozy! A short walk to lots of restaurants, and ten seconds to the water. There are beach chairs with an ocean view and deck was great in the evenings (very comfy hammock!).

The cabin was very efficient with space, though tight for 2 people. It was clean and decently stocked. Saying that it overlooked the beach was a bit misleading, as it is situated behind and slightly lower than the larger cabana that does look out onto the beach. Also, it was surrounded by construction, so there was a lot of noise from power tools, banging etc. We enjoyed our stay and are greatful, but will not choose to return.

The cabana was very clean, the bed was comfortable. The space was perfect for a single, but also for two people who like each other. It was nice that ear plugs were provided for the one night that the band was playing next door.

There is a larger cabana in front of this one but you can still see the beach from the porch. Staff keeps the cabana and beach clean. This cabana is located right in the heart of the village so it isn't the most peaceful all of the time but my husband and I didn't mind the noise it made us feel more integrated into the culture.

What a great place! Located right in the heart of Hopkins. I loved that we were immersed in the culture and the locals are so incredibly friendly!! I felt very safe our entire stay.The cabana is nice and clean and you have all the amenities you’ll need. Grocery store and many restaurants and local cool spots are within walking distance. Perfection!Thank you for such a great place to call home during our visit to Belize!Will definitely be recommending to our friends and hope to return in the future

Luv this place! Cabana was cozy, bed was excellent, all utensils one needs in the kitchenette. Reuben from Maya adventures picked us up at airport, helped us get the water jug n case of beer and helped us get the code for key lock. Clean beach, excellent water to go swimming in. We walked to all the shops, restaurants. Earplugs supplied for sleeping as the dogs might wake you up. Was not a big deal for us. Three ceiling fans and standup. With all the screened windows, we had no issues. Angel, the groundskeeper was very informative 👍 Security is top notch. Mirko was very communicative property management. We will be back 👍

.. it’s weird it was an absolutely lovely bungalow, but saying it is beachfront is misleading as it’s really behind directly behind a large beachfront bungalow that you can see the beach and water through the bungalow stilts in front
. I had to get past some of my grumbles to appreciate the loveliness of the area.

Cute little cabin. The shower had hot and cold water with good pressure. Plenty of soft towels provided. Mirko was very responsive to all of our enquiries. The Baby Blue is situated behind the larger Blue Moon rental unit, so you do not get a full beach view. The fridge is a mini, so unable to make ice.

Cabana was as mentioned. Located behind larger cabin so it was hard for us to find in the dark. But once we found it the location is great. I do hope that the clubs on either side dont play music as loud every weekend. We did expect it this time because of Settlement Day.

Mirko was an excellent host! He answered questions quickly and offered great advice before my trip, and he checked in with me once I arrived. The cabana is conveniently located in town, so close to everything. It was very clean, and we didn’t have any (not one!) bug inside. The beach is beautiful. Really lovely cabana right on the beach. Very quiet, beautiful sunrises right outside your door step, what's not to love? Mirko is also a good and responsive host. You're right in the center of downtown as well and it's easy to walk anywhere you'd like to go in town.

The lodging was nice, there currently is construction behind the Cabana but nothing to noisy after night fall. Saturday and Sunday nights were a serious issue though the place next door played Karaoke until 0200 am!! But other than that we had wonderful time.

Baby Blue hide-a-way

Can't say enough about how wonderful this little Hopkins gem is! Right on the beach and at the same time in the centre of a walkable village! Bought our fruits and veggies on the street, best coffee right next door, and several rustic beach restaurants within easy walking distance. We tried them all and enjoyed every meal. This is a real village, not a resort, so expect the sounds and friendly people of every day life. Don't forget to tip the gentleman who cleans and rakes the sand all the way from the bungalow to the water (keeps the sand flee population down)

Great location!

Loved my stay at Baby Blue Moon! The room was clean and had everything I needed. Walkable (or ride a bike) to many restaurants and stores. There was a bike rental place just across the street! The beach is beautiful as always and there were a couple of lounge chairs on the property for my use.

Our time at the Baby Blue Cabana was nothing short of magical. This charming, simple spot truly has everything you need to enjoy your time in Hopkins, Belize. Nestled right in the heart of the entertainment district (if you can call it that in this laid-back village), it’s the perfect place to immerse yourself in the local culture.You’ll find yourself surrounded by an eclectic mix of local bars, restaurants, and businesses run by both welcoming locals and expats from around the globe. One of the highlights for us was being just a short 10-minute drive from the best birria tacos we’ve ever had anywhere in the world! Beef Masters Pasture-Raised Farm has a food truck that is a must-visit; their tacos are absolutely incredible.What really made this experience stand out, though, were the people. The locals welcomed us with open arms and genuine warmth, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. It’s hard to overstate how special it is to feel so embraced by a community while traveling.If you’re looking for a simple, authentic, and wonderfully located spot to stay in Hopkins, the Baby Blue Cabana is the perfect choice. It’s not just a place to sleep—it’s a gateway to incredible food, a vibrant atmosphere, and unforgettable memories.

Mirko was great!

The property was a little smaller than we expected, so it was a little less ventilated than we hoped. However, the beachfront was very peaceful and mostly quiet. The location is also very convenient. Whenever we had issues Mirko was very responsive and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Overall we had a wonderful experience and would book again.
