The Arlington is going thru a multi year renovation. The room are dated carpets not great etc. Rooms are priced accordingly. Location is great for the area around it yet not walkable to the track and casino. Good restaurants within walking distance. The Sunday brunch is a good option.

I will never understand why people complain about needing upgrades it's a historic hotels that's the whole point If you're looking for top of the line amenities is innocent for you but if you enjoy history definitely stay here The staff is absolutely amazing room is clean bathrooms were clean Starbucks downstairs was amazing too!!!

This was going to be a very different review but thanks to the front desk manager Carmen, our experience was rescued. This is a beautiful, VERY OLD, historic hotel. Keep your expectations geared for very old. It has a lot of its original flooring, plaster, fixtures, and quite a bit of it feels like and 80s/90s update happened at some point. The bed was comfortable enough and the pillows were not the weird kind that immediately go flat when you put your head on it. Our first night, I took a shower and found that the drain did not work at all. It was pretty late at night but a maintenance person was sent to our room. He wasn’t able to fix the problem and we were told someone would come the next day so they could use some louder equipment when it wasn’t almost midnight. No one came though and we had to take weird quick burst showers so we didn’t flood the place. Finally at 8-8:30pm after two more visits to the front desk Carmen came in to save the day and got us into a new room for our second and final night. Thank goodness! We also had the breakfast and the Friday night seafood buffet on premises. Both were tasty but the seafood was a bit lacking on the buffet. I was hoping for some crab. Frog legs and catfish aren’t really seafood. Everything we ate did taste nice and fresh. The oysters on the half shell did not look very fresh so we didn’t try those. We will be back again because we love the character of these really old type hotels.

Extremely close to the bath house, valet parking is 30 a day and is staffed 24 hours a day. The renovated rooms are charming and vintage, the historic (non renovated) rooms are very vintage and a bit worse for wear, but they’re working on the whole thing! The mineral water rooms are amazing. The staff was so nice and accommodating, we were upgraded to a very nice room on the 9th floor overlooking the entrance, breakfast is $10-30 per person if no buffet is available, the buffet is 15 per person. The front desk staff are very knowledgeable and there’s some one there 24/7, the dining room staff is attentive and accommodating. The pool deck is on the 7th floor and the hot tub is to die for. if you’re planning a trip basically the entire area is closed on Tuesday, as that’s their slowest day so aim for Wednesday- Sunday, wed-Friday is less busy, but the weekend is packed! Overall I’m extremely happy with our stay and will not even consider staying anywhere else next time I’m in hot springs’

The hotel itself was beautiful and historic but parking was awful, the room smelled of mold and was very decrepit, and the sheets were like sleeping on sand paper. The parking garage was unorganized and rocks and debris was everywhere. It looked like it would cave in at any moment. I will not be staying there at this hotel again. The smells gave me a horrible migraine all weekend. Nice to stop by and admire but not to stay at.

I appreciate that they are remodeling this facility, but it should have been remodeled 30 years ago. I have no problem with it being dated and nostalgic. The nostalgia draws people, but the carpet and holes on the wall and other obvious signs of just letting things go is sad for a building with so much character and history. I will stay again after it’s remodeled. The service was ok, and overall it was clean. I wish more pride in the looks of the facility had been taken.

Jimmy in Valet scammed me for more tips. The room was awful. Moldy bathroom. No temperature control. TV did not work. Chance in lobby bar was fantastic and Nigai from desk was wonderful. Food in restaurant was delicious. I was upset by the extra charge at checkout ( $15 fee) Should have been on my original reservation.
