Creekside Cabin, comfortable cabin overlooking trout creek
Easy, paved access to this cabin right on a beautiful, rushing trout creek. Large covered porch directly overlooking creek. You can fish right from the yard! Great place to chill out and relax! Very well appointed 4 bedroom 2 bath cabin. Great room with living room, den with woodburning fireplace and large country kitchen. You are out in the mountains but less than five minutes to Trust Store and Cafe. A great location to launch out to many activities in the mountains. 45 minutes to Asheville.
The cabin was awesome !! We was there to visit Gatlinburg. The curvy roads and road construction and distance to Gatlinburg made it just under a 2 hour drive each way to Gatlinburg !! The drive from the Cabin to Gatlinburg was the only negative about staying here !! Everything about the cabin itself was awesome and we loved it !!
The house is lovely and has a well supplied kitchen (far better than most rental properties). Very suitable for a family gathering with lots of cooking. The house was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Our only suggestion is that the lockbox be replaced. It is quite annoying to maneuver. Also, the pictures do not alert you to the fact that the house sits very close to Hwy. 209. For us this was not an issue because the back porch is spacious and lovely with the sound of the rushing creek and the side yard is very nice. However, for guests with young children this might be a concern. We would stay here again without hesitation.
We hiked Max Patch and visited the stocked fishing pond just beyond the parking lot, about a 25-minute winding drive from the cabin. Experiencing the 360 degree mountain view is an absolute must. The rest of our stay was spent on the back porch overlooking the creek, eating, chatting, watching those of us who fished or dozing off to the sound of the water. It was wonderful to unplug and enjoy the house; it was perfectly equipped and neat as a pin. If youâre looking for peace and calm, this is it!
We were very happy with our stay at this house. It is just like it looks in the pictures. The main living areas are big enough for family to sit together comfortably. The kitchen was well-equipped for most cooking. The beds were comfortable. Everything was very clean. The best part of the house is the large back porch perfect for sitting and listening to the creek rush by. The house is pretty remote, but the roads are easily accessible. The area is beautiful and peaceful. We will definitely stay here again.
The only downside to this property was the shower in the master bedroom. It really needs upgrading to be a real shower. And the water builds up in the pan. Not sure if it is vented correctly. Overall this is a great house!! The boys loved the stream in the backyard!! And the close proximity to Maggie Valley makes shopping wonderful!
It was a little hard to get key out even with code. We had never had to do this kind before. Had trouble with the commode in master bedroom. When you flushed the chain got caught under the stopper in the tank. Tried to call Pete called failed three times. Then the fire alarm in the living room started squeaking. Tried to call all it did was ring. Too cold in the house had to wear long sleeves or put blanket on even in daytime. Hate the beds they are too high when you are short like me and my niece. Had trouble calling and texting family!! Loved the porches and creek. House is nice but donât want to come back!
The cabin is perfectly located on 209 and even though the road is right there, the creek drowns it all out.
We enjoyed listening to the creek while drinking coffee, nights around the fire pit catching fireflies and seeing the deer and hummingbirds.
It was truly the perfect get a way from our everyday busy life. It doesnât have cell reception but being unconnected for a week was exactly what was needed.
Kara and Pete were amazing host/property managers that have excellent communication and customer service!!
Itâs a short drive to max patch which was an amazing experience all should do!
We will definitely be back to the creekside for many memories as it was the perfect vacation for our family!!
10 out of 10 recommend this place!
I stayed here for my best friend's birthday. He loves the mountains and to fish so this spot was perfect. The general store is right around the corner but if you need to go to a bigger store like walmart be prepared to drive. The closest stores are 30 plus minutes away. Other than that we enjoyed the stay, and the house was beautiful.
The photos are spot on for this place. So peaceful and relaxing to sit outside, catch up with family and listen to and watch the creek go by. There was a cute family of muskrats we caught glances of during our stay. We will be back.
This was the PERFECT getaway for me and my 3 girlfriends (ages 55-60+). The location was gorgeous ~ the bubbling brook was extremely soothing, the cabin was immaculately clean ~ everything supplied to make it a very comfortable stay. I would highly recommend this cabin & Iâm hoping weâll come back there sometime!!!!!
A crackling fire and soothing sounds from the creek
Three sisters and a dear friend each had their own room but time to gather together to sit by the warmth of the fire and listen to the soothing sounds of the water from the creek. We had one incident, totally our fault, and the manager responded promptly. Definitely recommend for rest and relaxation.
There is only one word to describe our experience
.AWESOME!!! The cabin was beautiful and it has everything that you would need to enjoy life in the MOUNTAINS
We enjoyed a mother/daughter trip to the mountains and Asheville. Had a wonderful time. The cabin was spotless and had everything we needed. It was wonderful having four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Back deck overlooking the creek was fantastic!
