Great accommodations for any place not just Europe. The apartment was very modern and very spacious. The outside hottub and sauna were very relaxing. I would recommend this place for anyone. W found it to be a bargain for the price we paid. Host was very attentive and accommodating to our request.
Stayed at the guesthouse for a week and enjoyed the South of Iceland. My husband said the bed was the most comfrtable one he had ever slept in and we thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and steam room.
Convenient location and nicely set up, but the facility needs a little maintenance. The cord was frayed on one of the lamps, a potential fire hazard, and the toilet had a tendency to run. Also there were no people manning the check-in desk, which is ok except we had a few questions and no one convenient to ask. Overall we felt the facility was over-priced for the level of comfort and service.
The room is clean and comfortable. It's a plus it has a kitchen. The area don't have much for food and shopping. The grocery store close around 6pm and won't open until 10-11am. Limited restraunt choice and they all close around 9pm.
Dock saknades lampor.
The Frumskógar Guesthouse was a great "home away from home" in southern Iceland! My husband and I had a small apartment which was very spacious and clean. The kitchen had everything we needed for simple food preparation (and we were happy to find that there was salt/pepper, coffee, tea). The Guesthouse includes a lovely hot tub, sauna, and outdoor shower, which we enjoyed in the evenings. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating, and gave us suggestions of activities in the area. In terms of location, we enjoyed walking around in Hveragerði and the Guesthouse is well located to hop on the highway to check out the sites in southern Iceland. There is a Bonus (discount grocery store) very close by, as well as the local tourism office. The drive to the Keflavik airport was just about an hour.
