Room number 2: Nice and clean room with TV, microwave and coffee maker fully stocked for your enjoyment. We are located right across the street from the Umpqua river where you can fish, fly fish or Kayak. The lodge has a wine and beer bar with a cozy fireplace for you to relax in front of
Great spot to stay for close access to fishing and other mountain sports. I noticed many white water rafters. The property is also close to Roseburg and the many wineries in the valley. Very clean and owner great people. Have a nice bar on property and there was small band playing Friday night.
I am a Titanium Marriott member so my standards are high. This wonderful place met my high standards, excellent customer service and cute/clean room. The lodge is 100 yrs old and they have done a great job renovating. The rooms are securely situated away from the lodge, but close enough to have a beer or glass of wine in the lodge plus meet lot of the local people. The water in the area has sulfer, just kept the window open during my shower so the sulfur smell wasnât at all bad. Would definitely stay here again.
Johanne and John took great care of us on our 1-night visit during our honeymoon road trip. We happily stumbled upon this gem tucked into the forest along the North Umpqua River. An adorable lodge that feels like a home away from home. The owners have newly renovated the whole lodge, and are continuing to add improvements. On Friday nights, Johanne hosts a local and live music evening, with dinner provided. She was also so kind to welcome us with two glasses of champagne, knowing we were on our honeymoon. We enjoyed sitting at the bar and getting to know the owners and locals popping in that evening. Staying at the Idleyld Lodge was a highlight of our honeymoon road trip. Stay here if you get the chance!
Located on the stunningly beautiful Highway 138, the lodge is the perfect jump off point for the Umpqua River, endless miles of forestland, and a quick hop to Crater Lake National Park. My room was as close to perfect as a nicely remodeled 100 year old lodge could be, and my only complaint was the sulfur smell and taste for the water. The owners were awesome about this, and kept me stocked with bottled water, but that sulfur smell was strong, though I will say I got used to it and took showers comfortably, feeling clean each time.
They have a well stocked beer bar, a delightful common area for guests to enjoy sitting, and a deck space for morning coffee too. The owners are wonderful, very friendly, and attentive to the property.
Overall, a great place that Iâd absolutely consider to explore this past of southern Oregon from again.
