Arrived at 10pm to find the unit had no power. The host asked us to check the breakers in a dark, freezing garage using our phone lights, but there was still no power. We were then moved to another property owned by the host that only had one bed, so I slept on the couch. The next day we learned the power bill hadnât been paid. Later on day two, we were told the power was back on and that we could move back to the original unit. When I explained we were at a swim meet and couldnât leave until it ended, the response was that the unit needed to be cleaned for an arriving guest, which was extremely frustrating given the circumstances. While the unit itself is newer and adequate, arriving to a rental with no power, lights, or heat late at night is completely unacceptable. We requested an adjustment and were given 100 off, which didnât even cover one night despite not being able to stay in the unit we booked. Overall, a very frustrating and poorly handled experience. Hosts should ensure basic utilities are working and handle issues like this with more accountability and consideration for guests.
More room than expected and plenty of privacy for a relaxing weekend. There was consistent communication from the property owners but not in an intrusive way. Will definitely stay again if in Indianapolis in the future.
