Carpets were dirty sofa was broke mand leather peeling and the fact shower and toilet area were dirty my girlfriend had to bleach and clean en suite due to pubic hair and glass being dirty in current pandemic pretty poor
Iâll start with the positives: the actual house has potential. Itâs a nice house with quality doors and is well laid out. 3 bedrooms upstairs, one with an en suite. Oh and thereâs space right outside to park.
Negatives:
The entire house was FILTHY. It looked like it hadnât been cleaned in a long time. There were dead flies on the window ledges and carpet. There were food remnants on the wall next to the bin. The sofa looked like it was falling apart but upstairs was even worse. One of the beds hadnât been changed since the last guests checked out and there were hairs, you know what type of hairs, on the sheets and to quote my friend, it smelled of bloke! We found a face mask and other debris in the cupboard. We were given one towel (which was damp) between 4 of us and there was one toilet roll and one almost finished hand soap between all 3 toilets. The rubbish bins were overflowing outside too.
Also, we wasted an hour having to drive to a guesthouse a few miles away with no parking to pick up the keys as the owner didnât respond to my two earlier calls requesting entry instructions. We spoke with the landlady after we checked in and she offered us a refund without batting an eyelid. Iâm sure we werenât the first or the last to refuse to stay there. The house was so filthy we decided we couldnât stay so booked a few rooms in the Travelodge instead. One week and two messages on and I still havenât received a refund. In a word, avoid!
The property was unclean and well worn, avoid staying here itâs not worth the money. I expected a far higher standard for the price. Fridge dirty, carpets stained, no mattress protectors on the beds. Walls badly marked in bedrooms. Very disappointed customer.
We really enjoyed our stay and thought the house was really nice.....however, the single beds desparately need new mattresses to the extent where one of my children opted to sleep on the floor rather than on the springs of the mattress.
