The Getaway at Ponds Lodge - Cabin 16
The Getaway Cabin is a comfortable 2,300 sq ft and sleeps up to 12. It's conveniently located off Hwy 20, so it's a great place to stay if you're on your way to Yellowstone. If ATVs or snow machines are your thing, the cabin is a short distance from many of the trails in Island Park. This spacious cabin will have you ready to kick back and relax. On the main floor are the kitchen, living room, and two master king bedrooms with attached bathrooms. There is also living room access to a deck situated on the back side of the cabin - so it is a somewhat private area with a fire pit. Upstairs is a full bathroom that is shared by the two bedrooms, each having two queen beds. There is a furnished loft area and a washer/dryer as well. Make yourself at home!
When you stay at the Getaway Cabin, you can enjoy the Caribou-Targhee National Forest right outside your backdoor, where local wildlife frequently visits.
A short walk outside your rustic yet elegantly furnished cabin offers panoramic views of the Caribou-Targhee National Forest, the pristine waters of Island Park Dam, and the Buffalo River.

Beautiful cabin in a terrific location for our family reunion

There were just a few things that came up during our stay. We found a bat in one of the beds and some kind of rodent poop in another bed. A kitchen chair collapsed under one of our family members then we discovered it had been broken previously and put together with inferior nails and the bbq didn’t work.

This house worked out perfect for our little family. We where close to many things to do and our little grand daughter loved walking around the area with us. We cooked in every night and had no problems with any of the amenities. As an added bonus a moose came to visit our last morning!
