Miles away from the real world, you'll find 55 Pelican Bay, a renovated charming four-bedroom (2 full baths and 1 half bath) vacation home that will become your family's favorite island escape. Splash around the Pelican Bay pool, located just behind 55 Pelican Bay, listen to the sounds of crashing waves while catching the cooling summer breeze on the screen porch, or prepare a perfect Lowcountry boil in the upgraded kitchen, the choices are unlimited in this wonderful beach house. Better yet, the best beach in the community is located a block away from 55 Pelican Bay. After passing the pool, the beach is only a 60-second walk down the beach path, which boasts beautiful landscaping. The beach here is wide and forms a point where the island bends to the southwest and northeast. There is nothing finer than the sand and surf at this amazing location.

55 Pelican Bay, has many features of a large beach house, but with the character of a gorgeous beach cottage. You are first welcomed by the charm of the long wide porch, a reminder of many of the homes in Historic Charleston, which is only 15 miles away. Once inside, the soft colors of the beach splash the shiplap walls that are strikingly similar to the classic beach cottages built on Sullivan's Island in the 1800s. All of the furnishings are terrific and were carefully chosen to compliment the beauty of the island. Modern conveniences include a large flat screen smart HD TV for cable TV and streaming of services as well as a wonderful kitchen featuring granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and even a Keurig. Unique to 55 Pelican Bay, the home features a laundry room with direct access to the back deck. There is also a half bath just off the living area. Dining for six is featured in the dining area plus two bar stools. Additional dining is available on the screen porch with seating for six plus two extra seats at the bistro table. A gas grill on the back deck will ensure everyone an excellent meal each night.

After a day in the sunshine, your family will look forward to a comfortable night's sleep. Each bedroom features a new memory foam mattress. On the first level, you will find the spacious master bedroom with a king-size bed and a large flat-screen TV. Attached is the master bath, which provides both a walk-in shower and a large jetted tub. The first queen bedroom upstairs has plenty of windows, making the space bright and cozy. The second queen bedroom overlooks the pool and both bedrooms have a private HD TV. Also located upstairs is the twin bedroom. The upstairs bedrooms share a bathroom conveniently located between all three.

- Beach chairs/toys are not included at this property. All reservations between 4-28 nights come with a $250 beach gear credit with VaykGear.com. Guests will be able to reserve gear after booking.
- The Pelican Bay pool is open May-September and guests will need a pool pass. The pool is not heated.
- Unfortunately, pets and ESAs are not allowed in this home. If undisclosed animals are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval, there is a fine of $500 per pet.
- Fireplaces are not for guest use.
- Trailers and motorcycles are not allowed inside Wild Dunes.
- Guests have access to the Pelican Bay pool, and to the cafes and restaurants at Wild Dunes. Any other amenities or recreation at Wild Dunes, including golf, tennis or the spa, must be booked separately.
- Please note that due to natural coastal conditions, beach areas may experience periodic erosion that can affect shoreline size and accessibility. During periods of high tide, portions of the beach—or the entire beach—may be temporarily inaccessible. We are not able to guarantee identical beach conditions for future stays, and refunds or relocations will not be available due to these natural changes.

Perfect location!

Our family had a wonderful time at IOP! The best part was cooking in the well appointed kitchen. The location was great, a very short walk to the beach. The only minor issue is comfort of bed upstairs and dated bathroom. Ping pong did not work. But the property overall is lovely and we enjoyed our stay.

IOP Family Vacation 6/15-6/22/24

Enjoyed this property - particularly enjoyed preparing meals in the beautiful kitchen. Loved having the extra beverage refrigerator. The screened in porch was our meeting place in the morning for coffee. Used the grill multiple nights. Loved having the pool around the corner and just a short walk to the beach. When we arrived there were no ping pong balls and there was no corn hole set (as seen in pictures), but I contacted property management and they brought both. Relaxing week! Recommend this property!

Lovely place to stay

We had a wonderful week on Isle of Palms in Dunes West and this house completely met our needs. The house was spotless when we arrived! The kitchen was well stocked with supplies and equipment including baking pans which was helpful since we celebrated several family birthdays while at the beach together. The screened porch (with ceiling fan) and back deck (with grill) got a LOT of use. It was fun to look at the turtles in the small pond behind the house. We were close to the community pool but were never bothered by noise from it. It was an easy walk to the beach access. The house is on a cul-de-sac which was perfect for the kids to ride their bikes and play safely. We had a wonderful vacation!

Spring Break Trip

The house we stayed in was amazing. It was clean and decorated so well. The beds were so comfortable. The kitchen is the best stocked kitchen I have ever seen. We loved the screened in porch and had our morning coffee there every morning and every evening we had our glass of wine there. The pool location was ideal. The beach access is literally a 2-3 minute walk from the house. It was only 20 minute drive to Sullivan Island and Mount Pleasant and only a 30 minute drive to Charleston. I would highly recommend staying here.

Excellent cottage and location.

We enjoyed the cottage a 55 Pelican Reach. Kitchen was well equipped although the toaster was probably ready to be upgraded. Bedrooms and baths were clean with plenty of space. Master bath was bright with 4 front windows but still offering sense of privacy, Soaking tub was a wonderful addition and was used frequently by my wife. Table tennis and corn hole were nice additions for evening or rainy day use. Every room was nicely decorated with seashore motif items and pleasant wall colors. Highly recommended!

Beautiful Beach Cottage

Had a wonderful stay in this beautiful beach cottage. It is located in a quiet area of Isle of Palms. Beach access was very easy & convenient. The beach is about a 5 minute walk across the street and down a path. We also visited downtown Charleston frequently & the drive is also very easy. It was nice to be able to see the area and return to this get-away by the beach. I highly recommend this property. The property management is exceptionally helpful and very informative. We were never left with a single question. While visiting, the water was not warming up for showers. We emailed the property manager and the issue was addressed and fixed immediately. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this home very highly. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

This was the second time I've stayed at Pelican Reach. This property was amazing. It had everything you would need. Everything was new! It was extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend it.
