Dog friendly near beach home! An approximate 4 minute/ 3 block walk to the beach, this bright and colorful 3 bedroom/ 2 bath house is the perfect fit for two small families or one big one. Enjoy the ease of this surprisingly affordable single level home with an open concept Living Room, Dining Room, and Kitchen. Dog considered for short term rentals with nonrefundable fee of $150 per dog (max two under 75lbs). Please pickup after your dog, and kindly request to keep off furnishings*

Features include: WiFi, Cable TV in Living Room and Master bedroom, screened porch, fence around perimeter of home, and roof-level sun deck.
The large backyard has a charcoal grill, a hot/cold outdoor shower for head and foot rinse off after the beach, and a laundry house complete with washer and dryer.

The house was cute, very clean and dog friendly with fenced yard. The only issue we had was that the grass is the backyard was not cut, it was knee high in some areas which was a bit of an issue with pur dogs, and the outside garbage cans were practically full with the last tenant's garbage. Other than that, great place to stay.

IOP and Charleston Getaway

We wanted a dog friendly rental for an extended visit near our college student. The houses location near the beach was fantastic, especially the off leash morning beach walks with lots of new four legged friends. The furniture and beds were comfortable and the cathedral ceiling common area feels large. There was also plenty of private space for some remote work as well. Even board games were being played on the screened porch. Several nearby restaurants on IOP and Sullivans Island exceeded expectations and were super convenient. It’s also just a short drive into downtown CHS. While not directly on the beach, the houses close proximity makes you feel like you are. Even though it’s on the main road, it was very quiet and takes just a minute to get to the side roads. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Close walk to beach with everything we needed

We enjoyed our stay here. The house itself is on the older side, but the decor and cleanliness made it a pleasant stay. It had everything we needed for cooking in the kitchen which was a plus and the couch and seating in living room was comfy to hang out during the evenings. The place smelled like dogs when we first got in but we bought a few candles and air freshener from Harris teeter just up the road and it was fine for the balance of the stay. The comments about the driveway being hard to get out of of we thought was unreasonable. We had no problems backing out ourselves so I wouldn’t read into that too much. A few drawers were broken in the kitchen that we had to keep putting back on it’s tracks, but aside from that one issue we had a great stay.

On the whole, house was surface clean, back porch definitely needs deep cleaning. The living room couch had an offensive odor; we covered with one of the nice quilts on premises. For the amount of pet fee charged, couch should be cleaned now and then. Fenced in yard a big plus. Washer and dryer in separate building but only a screen door so when windy, lots of dirt blows in on the appliances.

Decent size, decent price, not so decent upkeep.

Initially we were impressed with the property. It had decent size for our 3 couples, the master is big for a rental but the other two bedrooms are tiny. The dining table is a great size. Backyard is private and spacious. The accolades end there. DIRTY. Not the kind of dirt from recent guests but the soaked in, caked on, years of not cleaning properly type of dirty. Water pressure was laughable at first but then if you were the one stuck in the shower when the pressure dropped then it was not funny at all. I thought the previous review may have been exaggerating about the water pressure; they were not. If someone flushes the toilet, no water pressure elsewhere. If someone had the hose on to rinse outside, no water pressure elsewhere. Basically you could only have one faucet on at a time, pretty ridiculous. Toilet seat in hall bath was broken when we arrived (missing a seat bolt so it would slide around when you sat). Some dishes and silverware were dirty. We opened the blinds one evening next to the dining table (huge mistake) clouds of some kind of translucent film (once again, years of caked on dirt) came fluttering down and we scrambled to remove our food from the table. There is a note on the thermostat that says not to turn the AC below 72, which means the the actual temperature in the house is quite warm. The driveway is DANGEROUS. Don't even think about pulling out without someone to stand by the road and watch for you, the view is completely obscured to the left by foliage and an electrical pole. There is no sidewalk on Palm Boulevard so if you plan on walking to the beach or anywhere else you'll have to navigate through fronts of yards, around palm trees, all while watching out for traffic and those little burrs in the grass that are very sharp.

All Things are Not as They Seem

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Upon arrival air conditioning was set on 80, the house was extremely hot. Note beside thermostat stating not to set temp. less than 72. Set on 72 and temperature continued to rise. Called maintenance, was told to set thermostat on 70 and around 9:00 that night the house started to cool down. The next morning the drain pipe in attic was stopped up and water was running out of the hall light fixture. No water pressure. Only one person at a time can take a shower and if the water is turned on anywhere else in the house the master bath loses all pressure and does not recover. Slip cover on sofa is dirty and the mattresses should all be replaced. You have to sleep on the edge of the mattress or roll over into the gully in the middle on top of your partner. The kitchen is ill equipped and we finally bought two frying pans that wouldn't stick. The dishwasher sounds like a 747 taking off when you start it so only turn it on when you won't be there.
