The Perfect Relaxing Oasis for your family’s Island Getaway

A quintessential property for your relaxing family Island getaway! For the most accurate description of the experience you can expect when booking La Perla Azul, please take a moment to read the wonderful reviews from our past guests.

This fully updated 3br 2ba house can sleep up to 6 and is only a short 2 block walk or golf cart ride to the beach. The property is conveniently located minutes from all of the island’s best restaurants and night life, while nestled away on a quiet street just steps away from the inter-coastal waterway. We’re only one block from the island’s public park, which provides free Pickleball, tennis and basketball courts. There is an awesome playground for the kiddos as well. There is also a golf cart drop off area at the nearest beach path where you can unload your gear and passengers only steps away from the water.

The upper pool is only 12” deep and is a great spot for the little ones to splash around or some adult lounging with a book in the bubbling shallow water. The main pool slopes from 3-7’ and has numerous integrated benches for you to relax on. Please note we do not have pool alarms and ask that you maintain vigilant supervision of any children in or around the pool. There is an outdoor shower, large dining table poolside and a propane grill on the upper deck. The covered seating area and Cabana Bar allow you to enjoy the outdoor space with rain or shine conditions while still being close to the pool. If you want to spend your day relaxing between the beach and pool, this is the perfect vacation house for you. It is truly everything you could ever want for a perfect family island vacation.

The house will be generously equipped with an initial set up of toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, hand soap and dishwashing detergent. These items are not replenished once they run out so either plan to bring extra supplies and any other paper or cleaning products you may need during your stay, or purchase them after you arrive.
We do require a seven night minimum stay with a Saturday arrival.

We are a family oriented boutique property and limit the number of guests to a maximum six with no more than four adults. Unfortunately we’re unable allow any additional guests or visitors on the property. A guest fee of $150 per person, per day will be assessed for any outside guests on the property during your stay. We do have a video camera facing the pool area and door bell camera. While we don’t typically monitor the cameras we do reserve the right to do so in order to maintain a safe and healthy environment for all guests on the property.

Great week in IOP!

The house is great! It is well stocked in the kitchen. The only thing I’d mention is two of the three bedrooms are a little tight but it worked for our family. The kitchen and living areas were a little bigger than I expected from the pictures which was nice. The outdoor space is amazing, definitely the nicest of any rentals we’ve ever stayed in. I would recommend renting a golf cart (owners had a good recommendation) for getting to/from the beach and local restaurants. Lastly the owners were amazing. They had great recommendations and were always very responsive if we had any questions. Highly recommend!

Excellent Home!

This is one of the best vacation rentals we’ve stayed at! Spacious, beautifully decorated, clean, with a nicely appointed kitchen! The back yard is incredible! Proximity is 2-3 blocks from the beach, but we preferred that, as there was significantly less traffic near the house. Excellent neighborhood for biking, walking or running! Fantastic!

Our first time using VRBO and it was the most positive experience. The communication was excellent and they even helped us with restaurants and activities to keep our unique family engaged in our entire family vacation. We were the first guests of the season so we were a little early to fully enjoy all the property had to offer but our youngest still loved it! The rest of us would have preferred a little warmer weather to fully enjoy it next time. The backyard was truly amazing! I could relax and listen to the pool waterfall all day long. It’s also an easy walk to the public beach. Totally recommend this property to anyone looking in this area. We’re hoping to visit again too!

Isle Oasis

If you are visiting Isle of Palms, staying here is THE spot! We came with our three young children to enjoy some calm before we moved. The pool alone was where we spent hours (my youngest loved the top part of the pool). It really is an oasis with the waterfall, pool accessories, and seating area. We rented a golf cart (a must have in our opinion) and got to tour around the island. There’s a cute park nearby and the nightly beach walks was another family favorite activity. Not to mention, everyone we met was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right home. Thank you, Chris for making our first family vacation so memorable. I couldn’t imagine a better host who was easy to communicate with and helped us overcome several mishaps. We will be back!

Hidden Gem

Our impression of the property was better than expected. It’s more appealing in person, especially the house interior and outside living space. We loved the personal touches with property. It was well stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The small touches like providing all the condiments that one needs, the interior home decor, or the outdoor living space was very nice. The owner’s responsiveness & helpfulness were additional perks during our stay. The beach was also quite accessible but we spent most of our time enjoying the property. The exterior of the property appears moderate-looking but doesn’t do justice of what is inside- lovely interior decor and overall comfortable setup for the clients. Thanks for the great experience!

Perfect getaway for the family

Wow! There is so much good to say about this property that I don't even know where to begin. Rebecca and Chris have a gorgeous, incredibly well-maintained home which includes the best outdoor space I have experienced on the island to date! Communication was excellent and Chris gave a great recommendation for a golf cart rental (don't book a golf cart rental online before visiting - you'll find the best deal when you arrive). The location was awesome and having a golf cart to get us quickly to and from the 25th avenue access path was fantastic. Now, besides the obvious features that make this property so outstanding, there are a few touches to Chris & Rebecca's home that some may easily overlook, but that leave a lasting impression on me. So if you are like me, you will appreciate the following: 1. Clean, white, soft bath towels 2. Clean bath mat (yes, I have stayed in places that haven't been do clean... yuck!) 3. Modern washer and dryer in an easily accessible location 4. Induction stove and compatible pots and pans (I loved this so much I told my husband that we need one in our own house!) 5. Clean, well-maintained kitchen utensils (no rusted items), including sharp knives (I cook most meals while on vacation so this is huge to me) 6. Water and ice feature on refrigerator 7. Spacious indoor and outdoor eating areas 8. Coffee station with a Keurig My only complaint is that I had to come home at the end of the week! LOL Looking forward to next summer!!

The house is so well maintained and clean. Comfortable and charming. Lots of places to spread out to watch TV, read, rest. Kitchen has everything needed and coffee station great touch. Fantastic Beach getaway close to Charleston

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Perla Azul. The house was very comfortable with an amazing backyard to play and relax in. Beach access is just a few blocks away and getting to IOP restaurants and shops is very easy. We’d highly recommend staying at this home.

The property was exactly as it was listed perfect for my party of 4. The outdoor entertaining area doesn't end; pool, bar with indoor seating, under house sitting area and outdoor dining was absolutely perfect. The pictures don't do a justice to the pool. The location was great, close enough to the ocean and outlet to main drag. We hope to return in the future

Easter Week 2023

Two adults and two children, 7 & 8 years old. Plenty of well organized and furnished space to be together or get away from each other. Absolutely wonderful back yard with pool and entertainment area. The host, Chris, is very responsive. I highly recommend this property.

Great IOP Vacation House

We spent the past week at La Perla Azul and loved it. The house was in a great location to enjoy the beach, some great restaurants and close to downtown Charleston. It was beautifully decorated, very clean and all the amenities we needed. The backyard was stunning and we enjoyed many hours by the pool. Chris was very easy to communicate with and his suggestions for all things local were great. We hope to be back soon!

Chris and Rebecca were fantastic hosts. Wonderful communication from booking, to check-in, during our stay, and as we left. The house is beautiful and kept very clean. The backyard is an oasis and made the stay for us. We loved enjoying the beach by day but still being able to come back and relax at the pool in the late afternoons and evenings.
