Amara is a gem in a fantastic location for reaching the major historical sights on foot. The cafe is lovely with indoor & outdoor seating options. The free Turkish-style breakfast is great and filling :-) Everything in the room worked well, no problems at all. We hope to return to Istanbul with our whole family someday, and booking a hotel will be an easy task: Amara!

Helpful and friendly staff

Not a bad hotel in a nice central location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was poor and disappointing;, just one boiled egg and some ham , cheese , bread and olives plus condiments. Room and bathroom in general were ok. Safe was not very safe. Hallways were undergoing renovation so at times looked like a building site and slight issue with the plumbing one morning with dirty water coming through the taps and toilet.

Enjoy the hotel and the location

Very good hotel and the location is excellent too. Mr Ayhan at the reception is very nice person and very helpful too . I would recommend this hotel and would certainly stay at this hotel. There is a lovely girl at the reception she is very friendly and very helpful .

Rummet var nybäddat men tyvär väldigt smutsigt. Det var trasiga dörrlister och damm/hår överallt i rummet framförallt i lådorna till byrån. Överlag så fick man inte en hemtrevlig känsla. Dessutom så såg receptionen ut som ett renoveringsobjekt (endast ett bord med sönderslitet tak), verkligen ett dåligt första intryck. Man hörde väldigt mycket genom väggarna och andra gäster var högljudda fram till 01.30 på natten. AC-enheten funkade inte vilket gjorde att rummet var väldigt kallt framförallt på natten. Glipande lister kring fönstrena gjorde att det blev kalt vinddrag i rummet. Det positiva var att hotellet var dess centrala placering och nära till tunnelbana och övriga sevärdheter.

Das Personal am Empfang war sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Allerdings hat die Putzkraft wirklich oberflächlich gereinigt. Wir haben uns mehrmals beschwert, daraufhin hat die Putzkraft nur die Stellen detailliert gereinigt, die wir auch bemängelt haben. Ich fand es aber gut, dass das Personal am Empfang unsere Beschwerde ernst genommen hat. Preislich war das Hotel super

War alles gut bis auf das einchecken. Wir waren um 14:30 da und hatten erstmal kein Zimmer und mussten warten bis die Zimmer sauber waren (da waren Leute drin die eigentlich auschecken sollten, aber noch immer drin waren) Ende vom Lied wir sind um 17 Uhr eingecheckt. Sonst war alles top :)
