Captain`s House B2-Ocean Front



The Space:

Oceanfront with direct beach access, this quaint seaside respite, built on Amelia Island in 1983, includes only nine spacious villas. Each unit is directly situated on sand and sea with a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, and a living room that opens to an oceanfront deck. A staircase connects each of the three floors, including the two spacious bedrooms and two bathrooms in Captain's House B2. A private boardwalk takes you to the beach, where you can explore and bask in the incredible views to your content. The condos of the Captain's House are a perfect place for quiet getaways, wonderful family gatherings, and vacations of all kinds. These are a premier Amelia Island vacation rental! Please note that you will have to take stairs to get to the property no elevator is on site.



All fresh linens and towels are provided for our guests. We also provide a starter pack of toilet paper, paper towels, dish washing soap, dish pods, and laundry detergent. Beach chairs, beach umbrella and beach towels are also provided for you to use during your stay.



We also ask all guests to complete a registration form with Amelia Island Vacations through the secure site of DocuSign.

Thank you for the 5 star stay! We visit Amelia Island often as my husband is a golfer and has tournaments at the golf courses there. We usually stay further south but I will check VRBO next time to stay at your property there on the beach! We loved it (I had our daughter and grandson) the location was perfect and unit was clean, functional and stocked with excellent reading material! Also plenty of beach equipment for a young one. The unit has several things that should be taken care of. drywall patches need to be painted over, ripped shower curtain liner, broken paper towel holder, big blue chair felt like we were going to fall through it, there were no spare garbage bags in the unit, had to ask for some, 2 beach chairs were broken, one of the 2 umbrellas was broken, the beach wagon had 2 tires off of it, the “good” beach chairs were rusty, and it felt as though whoever cleans the unit didn’t sweep very well as we felt sand in the bedrooms. The outside trash cans were so full we had to put our trash bags on the ground with a few others.

Would rent again

The location of this property was great for our family vacation. The beach was easily accessed from the back door. There were plenty of dishes and pots/pans for cooking and eating. Having a washer and dryer within the property was very convenient. Overall the rooms were clean, but there was some minor patchwork of the walls that was cosmetically unappealing. Our family would definitely rent this property again.

Beachfront unit B2

Location is wonderful and has great parking! Beach restoration was between the property and the ocean. Interesting to watch but was not communicated by management company.Fully equipped kitchen was perfect except there were no garbage bags. Small bathrooms. Poor lighting throughout and bulky furniture (especially bedrooms). Porch light fixture is broken. Master bath missing towel hooks and toilet wobbles. The super-heavy sliding glass door leading out to the awesome deck needs immediate attention. It is almost impossible to slide open/close nor does it lock!The passcode for internet didn’t work but not an issue for us. This property would be fabulous with a little TLC!

A lot of minor issues

Neighbors adjoining were both rude and loud. HVAC broke due to poor maintenance (clogged drain line). Issue was fixed the next morning but inconvenient. Didn’t have sheets for pullout on first night. Drywall was patched in bathrooms but not painted. Accessories for beach need to be replaced. Sliding glass door was difficult to operate. Bed was very hard and was like sleeping on the floor.

June Beach Vacation

We enjoyed our stay at The Captain's House B2. The condo was as pictured . Only a 4 cup coffee maker provided, spent a lot of time making coffee. The beds were comfy & gave a good nights sleep. Never able to connect to the internet with any info provided. The deck was great- the beach was red flagged every day so we spend a lot of time there reading and enjoying the sights and sounds of the sand and ocean. Convenient to eateries and downtown area. We would return for a stay here.

We are very pleased with this rental unit. Its beautifully decorated, very clean and well stocked with amenities including beach gear. For me the only down side is that its not pet friendly. That would make it perfect!

Quiet place with amazing view of the beach.

The perfect place to relax. Watching the sunrise in the morning from the balcony was a peaceful and relaxing experience. The place was up to date, clean and comfortable. Lots of restaurants close by. The beach is just a step off the well maintained porch. The property manager responded immediately to every inquiry. I will return again and again.

Best kept secret!

This was our third time to stay at the captains house and it never disappoints. The condo was immaculate and provided everything we needed. The view and the short walk to the beach makes this the ideal place to stay! We will definitely be back next year!

The Best Time

We had the best time here. The view was spectacular and the walk to the beach from the property was amazing and right there! We had neighbors on either side of us and above and below us. Did not have any issues with noise. We did have a hard time getting the wifi to connect to our phones. I text the property management and they responded very quickly and offered to have someone come to the property to help us. The tv in the living room was connected and we didn't care too much about getting it on our phone so we declined the offer for help. It wasn't a big deal for us to go through all that trouble. We appreciated the fast service and the offer to help though. Best stay yet. Will be back for sure.
