Stunning OCEANFRONT Beach Villa! Just steps to warm sand and cool ocean water

Casa Mar is truly magnificent! This newly renovated six bedroom and seven bathroom home is right on the water, just steps to the sand. This Bali style villa has four rooms that open to the ocean and two that open to the pool. You can hear the waves crash from every room. All of the finest details and love have been put into this beach villa. Once you arrive, you will not want to leave.
The beachfront villa has a total of six bedrooms and seven bathrooms. There are four bedrooms with king size beds, two of these room have an additional futon sleeper. The other two bedrooms have queen size beds. Each room has its own bathroom and air conditioner. All of the rooms exude simple elegance. You will be impressed by the attention to detail. This home was built with love.
In front of the beach is a large deck that offers breathtaking views of the ocean. It is the perfect place to simply sit and watch the beautiful scarlet macaws in the surrounding almond trees or read your latest novel. This is Costa Rican paradise.
The private pool is in the center courtyard, next to the spacious outdoor kitchen. All with a view of the ocean. Casa Mar offers the perfect setup for extended families and groups of friends to reunite. While playing by the pool, you can prepare a meal ( better yet hire the chef), sip a cocktail, and watch the waves roll in.
The villa's kitchen provides everything you may need to prepare meals, beverages, and snacks. Or you may want to really relax and hire Chef Erick and his assistants to grocery shop and cook delicious meals while you stay with us. Then, you can enjoy your food on our impressive wood table that comfortably seats 14 people.
We provide daily maid service during your stay, so you do not need to worry about a thing. We can take care of everything before your arrival; airport transfers, chef services, excursions to Manual Antonio National Park, Tortuga Island, zip lining, ATV tours, and anything else to make your trip memorable.
If you have an extra large group, or wedding, please take a look at our property next door, Casa Mia (listing number 446339). We can accommodate up to
32 people in both properties. We are happy to help you anyway we can.

Our group of 12 had an amazing time. Our host was accommodating with every plan we had, even last minute plans, arranging all our excursions down to every detail. We loved the layout of the house giving us our own privacy when needed and having the beach right at our finger tips and location made it easy to get all the essentials. One of the best vacations.

FABULOUS!!! Villa is perfect, Carlos and Nicole are terrific hosts, attentive and responsive. Rooms were very clean, great size, privacy. Pool lighting and ambience was beautiful. Right on the beach, ocean hum was hypnotic. Wave jumping was addictive, great restaurants, but kitchen setting is amazing for group to gather, bond, interact and converse. With a convenience store/market 2 min away, hands down much better location than Jaco. Abigail was professional, personable. We had macaws in our almond tree everyday! 100% success with this booking!!!

Awesome set up! Beautiful house! Do not use the Chef!!!

Loved the indoor outdoor living. Carlos was amazing and took care of all our needs! The house was a perfect set up for our 5 couples. The location was a little hard to find but once we got there we loved it! However beware
they do provide a chef that will come and prepare meals. Do not use this service. Not only did she over charge us by charging us $150 for food. It was rice/beans bacon, cheese, eggs. Then she used most of the fruit we had already purchased! Not only did she charge us for food but it was $25 per person! What a racket! You can just walk across the street and for under $10 you can have breakfast, lunch or dinner! It’s a great place with yummy food! Other than being way over charged for a breakfast it was an amazing trip!!!

Beautiful

We had a large group visit! Myself, husband our 10 yr old daughter and our daughter who turned 21 while there, also friends and family joined. The house was beautiful and just like pictures. The view and beach are amazing. Cute restaurants right next door- handy convenience shop very close. The best iced coffee I’ve had! Cafe Bohio close to the house! ( I bought coffee and brought it home!) near the end of our trip we got pizza at pizzapata (also very close to house) and found a wonderful convenience shop right next to the pizza (same building) that had so much more stuff there! There is a cute shop Sunny’s cafe across the street- yummy coffee, smoothie, fruit bowls and icecream! Jaco may not be the best town in CR but I found it pleasant and safe. We are out and shopped, got ice cream at Pops. Most of what you need is closer to the house tho! The host is wonderful. Carlos meet us as we arrived. Checked on us and we messaged for any info or questions. He had several recommendations that we tried and all of them were fabulous from restaurants to a beach with monkeys to a waterfall tour! We saw macaws everyday at the house! Monkeys siplining! And Tuscans while we horseback ride up a mountain to see the view! There is a nice guy I believe his name is Carlos also who rides horses on the beach infront of the house and his tour is great! He meets you at the house and you have a nice ride! ( first time for me, my friend who talked me into it is a avid rider )

Property was perfect for our group. Steps to the beach and a few local restaurants / bars. The host was very helpful throughout the stay. Book the private chef, all of our meals were delicious. A lot of tourist activities very close by.

Relaxing Paradise

Live like a local

Casa Mar is in a prime location on Playa Hermosa with the black sand beach just steps away, Jaco beach and it’s bustling main street a short drive away, and of course all the delicious restaurants and fun spots like Bowie’s right next door. Our kids played in the pool for hours every day. One of our kids spent many sunsets at Bowie’s making friends, getting to know many of the friendly people who call Playa Hermosa home. The house encourages time spent together with its open air kitchen and common areas. Get the chef service for at least a few meals! Our youngest commented on how much she liked the food, but also that we were able to play because we weren’t worried about fixing dinner for everyone - a true vacation! Carlos and Nicole tended to many details for us before and during our stay. The excursion to Isla Tortuga was amazing! It can be a little loud, but it’s worth it to enjoy the overall “vibe.”

Our family enjoyed every minute of our stay! Carlos and Nicole are excellent hosts and we’re available to help with any excursions we needed. Fantastic for families traveling together

Carlos is an amazing host, always quick to respond to texted questions and ready with helpful recommendations. He connected us with Chef Eric who made an amazing meal for us at the house--seriously the best guacamole ever. Eric cooked the fish we caught earlier that day. We were traveling with another family and loved the common space to gather, but we also appreciated that all the bedrooms are separate, each with its own bathroom (and really great A/C). You could get alone time and privacy when needed. We enjoyed watching scarlet macaws in the sea almond trees off the deck. At the time we stayed there, the waves were too powerful for the teens to swim--our kids are great swimmers but no match for the wave size and force. Not sure if this is often true of this stretch of beach, but we had to drive to beach for true swimming or boogie boarding. Even so, the house is right on the beach and the view is still a plus. It was fun to watch the surfers in the morning as the beach is perfect if you are trained for/accustomed to those big waves.Several good restaurants in walking distance--can also walk to a convenience mart for quick purchases. Would totally book this place again. Took us an hour to get to Manuel Antonio, and that park was perhaps the highlight of this leg of our trip. Get a guide if you go to MA--totally worth it.

Heaven meets the earth

From the moment we stepped inside it was just what we all needed. Plenty of space to have time on our own but great gathering space outside out or in the sun, out or in the water. Walking distance to the local restaurants and steps to the beach. Outdoor seating of every kind for ocean/sunset viewing, poolside or large banquet table for family feasting! Beautiful location and lovely home

We had a wonderful stay and are already planning our trip back next year. The location was perfect for our family. Lots of good nearby dining options. Nicole, the host, was a wonderful wealth of knowledge and helped us arrange great excursions. We felt so welcome, and enjoyed every minute of our time there. Comfortable beds, nice bathrooms connected to each air conditioned bedroom, and a kitchen with all of the comforts of home. Our kids had a blast (as did us adults) in the pool!

The perfect week stay without the stress...

We just got back from a week at Casa Mar for my husband's 40th birthday... and all I can say is WOW! We looked & looked for places that would comfortably fit 11 people, and when I saw this listing... this was it! Every couple/person had their own room & bathroom, and the location couldn't be more perfect!!! Every day we saw the most amazing sunsets... next door to three wonderful restaurants... amazing pool/beach just steps from your room.... walking distance to a great mart that had all the essentials... we even had macaws greet & fly over us almost every day!! We only left the area to go on excursions! Otherwise, we could've just stayed on site all week. I can't say enough amazing things about our host, Nicole! She was there for us for anything we needed, & helped us to set up reservations/transportation ahead of time. She always got back to me right away! As a person who gets stressed/anxious about planning things, she really made me feel at ease!!! She recommended private Chef Erick... this is a MUST! He was AMAZING! We also booked massages with her recommended masseuses... can't get any better than a massage on the deck to the sound of waves crashing on the beach!! Looking for surfing lessons? You guessed it! She had a great recommendation for that as well! Our friend caught every wave with the instructor!! The week was truly picture perfect and I would HIGHLY recommend over and over again that you stay at Casa Mar! You need to experience this for yourself!

Outstanding!!

The house itself offers an opportunity to socialize as a larger family and enough space to engage a great book in privacy. Carlos was very attentive and offered the “Whats App” as an efficient way to communicate. Sonja kept the house spotless and offered laundry service if needed. Liza and staff provided authentic delicious meals everyday. We would absolutely recommend Casamar. Hermosa is a quiet village located directly near the beautiful Pacific Ocean with quick access to Jaco if you desire to shop.

Unforgettable family holiday at Casa Mar!

We had a wonderful week at Casa Mar for our large family reunion! The property was better than we had hoped and had plenty of space for all 13 of us. We loved the communal kitchen which was well appointed and had all we needed. The pool area was fantastic for the kids and had enough shade. All of the rooms were well appointed and were en-suite which was perfect. We loved the Bali-style room set up; especially the rooms that opened up onto the from deck and beach view. Carlos and Nicole were great hosts before and during our stay. They kept in contact and helped us with ideas for where to go, where to eat and anything else we needed during our stay. They really helped us make things great.

Amazing

A multi-generational family group of 10 stay and the villa was perfect for all of us. Casa Mar is even better than described and lovely. Beautiful setting with the ocean steps away, we all played in the waves. Nicole and Carlos are wonderful, always available and so helpful in arranging activities, transportation, even Covid tests for us. Special thanks to Sonia also for looking after us! Great restaurants and small stores an easy walk and Jaco an easy commute. Highly recommend, don't hesitate to book for a wonderful vacation!

Surf all day

I thought I've sent this review already but, I was so excited talking about it, I forgot. The my brothers, sisters in law, nieces and nephews went with me on this trip. THEY HAD A BLAST!!!
