Master bedroom freezing cold, master shower took forever to warm up and then only lukewarm,information is incorrect in binder concerning locking sunroom door and neither telephone numbers to contact redo for help were either incorrect or no longer in use. Beautiful home but property management needs to improve.

The house is beautiful. It reminds you of the 1800’s Homes that you would pay to tour. However you are also afraid to use the furniture. The beds creak and you can see where the repairs are. The living room couch has a cement block in place of the middle leg and the coffee table is so wobbly that you don’t want to set anything on it for fear it will break. The outdoor furniture is wicker that is shredding all over. The refrigerator was dirty and the microwave has a tendency to blow the switch every other time it’s used. They do send out someone very quickly for any issues that you might have. It is a wonderful, beautiful home just not comfortable to stay in.

Beautiful home with so many wonderful antiques and charming appointments. Spacious rooms. Large dining table with many chairs. So many places to gather. A delightful breezeway with ceiling fans and comfortable wicker chairs and loveseats. Many outdoor seating spots and a lovely front porch to gather. We loved the golf cart supplied to go out each night to dinner. Also, the wonderfully landscaped homes in the area were so much fun to drive by.

Rental fee misleading

Most importantly when hiuse was rented i was under the impression that we were renting the whole house thay skeeps 14 people for one price. After leaving property i was billed for addirional guests stating i paid for 2 people and used all bedrooms. I originally put in number of guests and VRBO changed it to two. Who would rent a house that sleeps 14 for just 2 people. I went ahead and paid the additional fee but i would never pay what we paid to rent that house for use of 2 bedrooms. The neighbirhood was very nice and it was located very close to the square. The house is very accomodating in size as well. The beds and pullows were very comfortable. The overall experience, however, had its drawbacks including the following:Kitchen : ant problem on counters, low water pressure in kitchen sink, microwave kept flipping power strip after 10 seconds.There are 5 bathrooms but only two of them have showers.Internet and cable never worked.Hvac did not keep the entire house cool.One of the master bathroom sinks had no hot water and the shower did not get real hot.Outside lights under carport did not work.The provided golf cart was a great additive but we had to spend time scrubbing it to even be able to use it. We only stayed two nighys so we did not take the time to have the owner address these issues on a holiday weekend.

The house on the outside was lovely! Inside was nice with antique furnishings! Too much clutter meaning too many Knick knacks everywhere! The listing did not say one of the bedrooms downstairs does not have a full bathroom. It has a tiny bathroom which was a half bath. We had to use our friends master bath to shower! Wish they would have stated that! Rugs were dirty! House needed dusting and floors swept! For the price we were disappointed! Overall the house was neat but needed to declutter and a deep cleaning!

The Magnolia Mansion

This home was a beautiful historical home nestled in the heart of downtown Jefferson. There are plenty of bedrooms for family and friends. The grounds were beautiful and having a golf cart to zip around town was a bonus. My favorite part was the large front porch with swing to sit, drink some ice tea and watch those passing by the home. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the history of the town and the home. I do wish there were more shower options-- there is only one downstairs and one upstairs so you have to get creative and share that space. However there are several half baths.

Hot House!!!

Six of us stayed at this property Labor Day weekend and to say it was a fantastic and wonderful time spent with life long friends is an understatement
far from it!! The house was HOT when we arrived and it remained that way almost all weekend. There were issues with the ac, plumbing issues, electrical problems and to say it nicely the house was just unkept. So many parts of the house were not taken care of like I would think the owner should have taken with the house. Our phone calls and texts were answered in a timely manner but we had 3-6 service men at the house 3 days of our stay
just what we wanted!! If you think cool is 81 degrees that’s not my thought pattern! I would not recommend this property to my worst enemy as I wouldn’t want them to have to endure the heat, not receive any sincere consideration from the host or just not being shown any empathy.

Cute house but needs to be maintained and cleaned better.

This is indeed a pretty house and has a comfortable bed in the main bedroom. The jacuzzi does not work and the tub had hair in it. The bedding should be made of of something that can be washed in between guests. I don't like staying where the duvet is unwashed. The outside seating is covered in mold so it isn't possible to sit outside. The thing that bothered me the most was that my dogs came back with fleas, and they have never had flea's in all the years I had them. It wasn't fun dealing with this for a week after leaving.
