Beautiful spot right in the Jeonju Hanok Village! As it is a traditional guest house, you sleep on futons on the heated floor, which were very comfortable! The host is very nice, she welcomed us in and provided us English instructions (as she does not speak English) but it was easy to check in and get our room. Tea and water can be found in the common lounge area, along with maps and guides of the area. 2 minutes walking from the Main Street of the village which has plenty of cafes and street vendors to indulge local food and snacks. Right across from the stay is a beautiful stream that you can walk alongside in the morning with your coffee/tea. Would highly recommend this spot on your visit to Jeonju!
Such a charming stay super close to all of the attractions in Jeonju Hanok village without being in the heat of it. My partner & I only stayed for a night and mainly needed a place to stay, but the heated floors made the room super cozy & the bedding was plush and comfy despite sleeping on the floor. Owners were accommodating & let us stow away luggage in their management area while we explored the village throughout the day. Highly recommend!
Sarangroo was very quite and clean. This place is small and cozy. It was unique experience to sleep on heated floor. My family had a great time and would love to comeback. The owners were very friendly. I highly recommend this place.
We loved the stay. It is a hanok, which means we slept on a futon, but I would not want it any different. The staff let us check in early and stored our luggage until it was time to leave. We received a letter translated to English on our arrival as they did not speak a lot of English. Their understanding of English was better than my understanding of Korean. Prior to our arrival, they also sent us detailed instructions for us to give the taxi driver. I hope to go back some day.
An authentic hanok stay experience. Even though the owner does not speak English, she was very hospitable and was prepared with English introduction, instructions and a map of the area.
A beautiful traditional hanok with extremely kind and friendly owners.

Sarangroo is located near the river bed - facing the main town area of Jeonju. But it is a good place to stay as it is located within walking distance to everything, so very convenient. The hanok itself was fine - the underfloor heating worked well, and the toilet was large enough, and not cramped. However, having breakfast in the open on a cold winter morning just didn't quite cut it. Nothing could be kept hot long enough due to the cold. Perhaps it would be nicer during the other 3 seasons. Overall, still a good experience, but i think 1 night is sufficient.
Although our guest spoke limited English. He had worked out what was important to his guests and had information sheets to hand in English. We would stay here again. He was kind thoughtful and helpful. You could even leave your luggage.
The property is conveniently walking distance to the Hanok Villlage. Checking in was very easy. The host and his wife were exceptionally kind and very helpful. We checked out before breakfast was served so we were a little bummed about missing out on that, but overall, I would definitely stay here again.
This is our first time staying at hanok house. Property is so beautiful, owner is nice and breakfast is provided every day. Location is also good being very close to hanok village. Please note that futon is quite thin but we got used to it the 2nd night.
Property owner was very kind and thoughtful. They put my shoes under the roof when I forgot to. It was raining next day so they saved me a big hassle. Also, they kept my luggage for me while I was out and about. I strongly recommend it.
It was a nice hanok stay with friendly couple manning the place. They helped us settle in well and make it a welcoming stay. The room is very clean and good enough for staying in. The toilet is pretty small, so have to learn to live with it.
We had a very pleasant stay at Sarangroo for 2 nights. The place was clean overall and the mini fridge in the room had a few water bottles so we didnโt have to buy water during our trip. The beddings and towels were clean and the room had enough towels for our stay. They also leave a basket outside your room in the morning to collect used towels which was nice. In the morning, they provide breakfast from 8am-10am with boiled eggs, fruits, toast, coffee/tea/juice/water.
The location is perfect if you want to experience the Hanok village. The location is walkable to many tourist attractions and restaurants. Itโs right next to Namcheon bridge and river, good for taking a walk/bicycle ride. We stayed during the week days and our area was generally quiet both during the day and the night.
The owners were very friendly and polite. Both our check-in and check-out were quick and they called the taxi for us when we were leaving and having trouble calling one.
Strongly recommend staying at this place if you want to experience authentic traditional Hanok! (I am Korean)

The property is beautiful. It is in walking distance to the famous Hanok Village. There is also a nice scenic walking path near the property. Parking was available right by the property which was convenient.
