Eduardo was the perfect host. He was there on time to meet us, he helped with our taxis to the airport on the departure day. He was in touch and responded immediately to our questions.
It was a beautiful location, and very easily accessible to the city, HOWEVER, if you have to drive like us it was a nightmare. You have to pay to park on the street. The price wasnât even a daily price it was in increments of 12 hours. Make sure you are there before the 12th hour because they will ticket you. Also the building was freezing and you are unable to control the temperature, but the space heaters that were provided helped. The owner was very attentive to our concerns and responded promptly. Overall, it was a decent stay.
We enjoyed our trip to NYC. Our host was very kind and friendly. The appartment was nice, well equiped but just a little bit cold. The central heating was set too low. But portable heaters allowed us to warm up two rooms. Basically we can recommend a stay in this appartment.
The location was great. A fun Hispanic community and very close to a beautiful view of the city and bus stops. Basic necessities are present.
Not âvery cleanâ as mentioned in listing. One in our group even accidentally stepped on a live cockroachâŠeww.
Loved the location. Very close to a express bus stop that took you straight to the city hub where you could catch any subway to your destination. The bus stop to get home had the magnificent view of the city that we enjoyed looking at every night. Definately don't bother having a car. Parking is very difficult and once you have a spot you don't want to lose it. That was the most stressful part of the trip. The apartment is up 2 flights of steep stairs. The beds were comfy and the a/c units in each bedroom window worked. The apartment is a little run down and could use some fresh paint and updates. The shower always had hot water at the end of a long day. The apartment just consists of the 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, and a kitchen, and no living room. We would stay there again as it was a nice break from the city and we loved the view from the promenade.
Just a few minutes walk to the riverfront with a beautiful view of the NY skyline. Over all a great stay, will recommend! Stayed here with 3 adults and 3 kids aged 1,3 & 5. Host was very quick to respond to my questions and also provided very detailed information about the surrounding area. We drove in from Pennsylvania. Street parking only, no designated parking space. This was challenging especially with young children, something to keep in mind for future guests travelling with children. Iâm not sure how accurate the travel time listed are but it took us 45mins to get to Times Square by car from the place, not including the walk to where the car was parked. The host did recommend taking advantage of public transportation to visit the city. We did that on Day 2 and had a much better time getting into Manhattan. Some of the windows do not close completely which maybe worrisome for some. Thank you Ozzie for having! We are looking forward to our next visit!!
We had a bit of a time figuring out how to get from Newark to the rental but once that was sorted the location was perfect for exploring NYC but also getting out of the hub of it at the end of the day. Ferry ride was easy to get to and fast.
The kitchen could have used a bit more supplies such as spices for cooking and conditioner and a bar of soap would have been handy as well.
The air conditioner in the one bedroom stopped working after the first night but didnât investigate too hard as to why.
Also, a bit hard to fully relax without a living room area but overall the space was big enough for us, clean, and close to everything, including groceries and laundry that we needed.
Location, Accommodation, Communication - all a Great
very good location, felt safe when arriving at the place past midnight, property owner is helpful and communicative, and good supply of amenities. We would stay here again⊠and honestly the place design was better than listed. However there can be improvement in cleanliness and few hardware features of the place.
Property was not cleaned when we arrived. No key in lock box as described in check in process. We ended up finding other an accommodations in Manhattan instead and received no refund from property owner. I would not recommend this property if you are planning on spending most of your time in New York.
This rental was good for our needs - a family of 6 looking to spend most of our time in New York City. It is close to the bus line, which is easy to use and easily sleeps 7 guests (3 queen beds and 1 twin). As an FYI, this rental does not have a living room or common space and it also does not have any televisions. The WiFi was usable, but not strong enough to stream any shows.
We felt safe and comfortable in the neighborhood, but one window in the main bedroom does not lock, which might be a concern to some.
Overall, it was a clean property with easy access to NYC and the owner was very communicative and helpful with ensuring parking options.
The community is just fantastic. Their is a great super market close and four blocks is a great shopping area and a bus close to take you to Port Authority. When we came back from downtown, we found this place to be relaxing. Thank you accepting our reserve request.
Efficient and comfortable apartmentâwe slept well and had enough space for the four of us. Comfortable beds, and quieter neighborhood than Manhattan for sure. đ Great host communicationâthanks so much. And cannot beat the Manhattan skyline view just a street away!
Everything was clean, instructions were great. It is on the 3rd floor so there is some climbing as you come in and out. We ubered to Hoboken and took the PATH into the city and took NJ Transit bus 159 Express back in the evenings from the Port Authority terminal. Street parking was never available; however we parked in Municipal Parking (fenced nice parking) on 60 (a couple blocks from house) and used the app to keep it paid daily. We liked that the vehicles were there much better than had they been on the street. We had an issue with a water leak (pipe) in the bathroom; however it was resolved promptly by the time we got back from the city. Very thankful for that! The owner was very communicative and promptly addressed any questions etc. we had groceries delivered via InstaCart our first day there and that worked out well so we had food there and werenât having to eat out every meal. There is an incredible view of the city as you walk or drive 60!! You get that view every day! It definitely worked out well for us!
