The hotel was hard to find with our taxi. The address on website was different from the on Google Maps and Bing. So we first went to wrong place which was not in a good area. The hotel itself was in a secure place and we were greeted and quickly checked in by staff. Restaurant and bar onsite. The room was very clean, spacious and had great amenities (stove, fridge, microwave). Not really a lot of conveniences near by. Most of the restaurants were near or in the mall. It is within driving distance of the Apartheid Museum and Mandela Square.

My stay at Hyatt House Sandton was extremely disappointing. My initial requests before arrival were ignored, and I ended up being moved between three different rooms due to broken air conditioning, a nonfunctional TV, missing amenities, and even an oven that exploded. Housekeeping never delivered basic items like washcloths without repeated requests, and service was slow, unresponsive, and at times unfriendly. The final room still had broken fixtures, no working phone, and constant noise from the pool and restaurant area. While one front desk agent tried his best, overall the experience was unacceptable for a Hyatt property, and I will not return.

Nice rooms but lacked services.

Room was clean, air conditioning fine. Common area such as bathrooms not cleaned often necessarily, garbage cans still full the next day. Food service at restaurant sparse, butternut soup was delicious. Our second night there, they had very limited offering due to an event they had there which was very very disappointing, only 3 options available hamburgers, chicken sandwich or pizza. Wanted a salad and their soup but was not offered because of group. Bar service was only one lady who was incredibly slow, was a makeshift bar at the back of pool area…was very strange.

No heaters on a freezing weekend

Middle of winter and the aircon heaters where not working in both rooms. Hotel receptionist did not inform us us after leaving our contact deatols and requesting a follow up. Hotel did not have a heater per room to give us. T V was not working.

Overall, the customer service was amazing. The staff were welcoming, warm and friendly. Food choices were limited. However, there are restaurants in the area that are walking distance, including a grocery store. I definitely recommend this location.
