The house was very nice, clean and had plenty room. But the water had a very strong sulfur smell and made it impossible for us to use the showers in the basement. The shower in the master bathroom didnât smell as bad but the water was lukewarm and very low water pressure. For the price we paid we should have at least been able to use all the showers. There was also no washcloths or hand towels. We couldnât use the pool table because the bumpers were broken, and all the darts were broken and we couldnât use the dart board.
We had 13 adults and 4 children in this house for a family wedding. There was enough room for everyone. Overall the house worked well for us. We had several mice in the kitchen and the house needed minor repairs, kitchen sink facet was loose and handle kept coming off. Screen door needed repair. Back porch had lots of spider webs. Flower beds needed to be cleaned up. Several items were needed, blankets, dishwasher soap, and pillows which were delivered same day.
This is a big beautiful home. Plenty of room for 14 women to have a weekend together. We couldnât find wood for the fire pit but next time we will know to bring it. Also hand towels, kitchen towels and pot holders are suggested. The beds are very comfortable. Definitely a great place for a lot of people to enjoy. The host was perfect at answering our questions.
Overall this was a very good experience for our family of 8 adults and 3 children ages 5 and younger. The house is spacious, beds comfortable and everyone enjoyed the game tables and outdoor playground and fire pit. We enjoyed nearby attractions of the Columbus Zoo, an indoor/outdoor hands-on kids play museum and Alum State Park and lake.
The only minor issues were the well water got progressively more smelly and the last day it turned rusty, making us, the towels and our clothing orange after washing. The filtered water was fine to drink though and had no odor. The lights in the dining room, kitchen and game room flickered constantly. The kitchen did not have towels and was a bit sparse in supplies. The addition of kitchen towels and things like plastic wrap and tin foil, pitchers and a few more serving bowls would be helpful.
Overall though, we were very happy with the accommodations.
This large cabin was perfect for our weekend stay. Everything was clean, the rooms were large, including the kitchen. There were also plenty of bathrooms, which was very nice. We enjoyed the grill and the pool table.
All was great except for the cleaners being there before we had even checked out. We werenât even all out of the house before they moved in to start cleaningđ
Our multi-generational group had plenty of space in this wonderful house. It was stocked with everything we needed, great gathering spaces, and some fun extras. We felt comfortable and would definitely stay again.
