Quelle déception pour le prix !

La route n’est pas mentionnée dans la description. On ne la découvre qu’une fois le paiement effectué par une photo. Draps tâches, surmatelas dégoûtant, les propriétaires ne sont peut-être pas au courant car c’est une entreprise de nettoyage qui s’en occupe. La cuisine est très bien équipée et le salon séjour est agréable. Le jardin est beau et très bien entrenu. Le ponton sur la Dordogne est un vrai plus.
Nous n’avons pu profiter de la piscine que 2 jours sur la semaine ! Il faut ajouter de l’eau froide tous les jours car elle se vide. La température a été de 24 degrés au lieu des 28/29 degrés normalement promis par le propriétaire. Ferme de luxe ! Nous n’avons pas la même notion du luxe.

We are sorry that you feel that way about the house and have only ever had 4 or 5 star reviews in all the years we have rented our house to travellers from all over the world. We have never once had a complaint about stained bed linen and our Property Manager assures us it was clean, but if she had missed anything we would have happily changed it if we had been notified.
The house is roadside, we have not hidden this fact as it is a country lane and has very little traffic, again we have never had a complaint about road noise and we have never found this to be a problem when staying ourselves. It has a high hedge, wrought iron fencing and electric gates to a private drive, so is also not overlooked and very private. It also looks over beautiful vineyards the other side of the lane.
We do however agree that there was a problem with the pool heating and our gardener/pool man did not get this sorted in time for your visit as it was more complicated than an easy fix. It is now repaired and we apologise this was not remedied during your visit. For this reason we were happy to compensate you for your inconvenience with the pool, but when our Property Manager arrived at the house for the next changeover unfortunately she noticed in the main upstairs bathroom the walls had been badly damaged, we will have to have this replastered and redecorated. I’m happy to send dated photos to your private email. We felt it was unfair to withhold your deposit because of the problems you had with the pool.

A gem of a property - photos don't do it justice!
Publié le 28 août 2023 sur HomeAwayWe had a wonderful time at the house. It is so much larger than the photos show. The lounge is cavernous and the two main bedrooms are very generous in size. The bathrooms are clean and well positioned. The kitchen is also well equipped and in a perfect place to make use of the outside dining table and bbq.
The garden is extensive and leads down to a spectacular spot for viewing the Dordogne river. The pool is also excellent and much needed on hot days.
Yes, the road is close by but you're behind locked gates and very safe. Cars pass by very infrequently. It didn't bother us at all.
Lynn was an excellent communicator and could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable.
A word of advice - bring plenty of mosquito spray, just in case. We had very hot days, followed by rainy nights - the perfect conditions to get bitten.
Would highly recommend staying in this beautiful house.

Absolutely Amazing!
Publié le 8 sept. 2017 sur HomeAwayOur group of 8 had an absolutely fantastic stay here. We had a family holiday of 3 generations and there was something for everyone. The facilities were first class and the owners have paid a lot of attention to detail to ensure that you make the most of your time here and enjoy every minute. The local area is relatively quiet but there are plenty of vineyards within walking distance and there are a couple of restaurants as well. The local towns offer more shopping and places to eat.
The pictures of the property really do not it justice, it certainly has the "wow" factor and I would have no hesitation in recommending this property. Hopefully we will return one day!
